Purpose of the post

The Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator (Assoc. Professor Peter Goon) and other study team members to ensure the successful completion of their research studies (Virus-associated cancers with emphases on pre-cancer detection, host immunology, virology, and potential treatments, Skin cancers and drug reactions) on time. Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will liaise with the relevant personnel in hospital to smooth the process of recruitment and data collection and will be accountable to the Principle Investigator (PI). The RA will be able to:

1. Oversee the general management of the project;
2. Provide administrative and secretarial support to the project, such as organizing regular meetings to maintain regular communication with other members of the research team and collaborate with the study sites;
3. Undertake the day to day running of the project at the study site, e.g. Collaborate with team members at the study sites, laboratory experiments, recruitment, data collection at hospitals/participants’ homes;
4. Conduct literature searches, using SPSS to enter data, and analyse data and maintain trial database, as well as assist in preparing both progress and final reports of the project;
5. Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures;
6. Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a completed PhD degree in History, and have a strong research agenda rooted in World History, with no preference for regions. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.

The main responsibility of the Assistant Teachers are to support teachers in achieving the Centre and programme goals in close partnership with the Therapists, Social Workers, Psychology Associates, Administrative Staff and Families of the children.

Reports to the Principal Lead Teacher and/ or Senior Teacher.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Lead Teachers to:

• Co-teach an effective education programme for the class to meet every child's IEP.
• Brainstorm and plan activities to support students' learning
• Prepare teaching resources
• Ensure students are well supervised during contact time in the centre /classroom.
• Manage students' behavior
• Carry out recommended therapeutic interventions.
• Receive and discharge the students before and after class

What you'll do:

As an Administration Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing travel itineraries and facilitating video and audio conferences. You will also be responsible for creating and updating documents using various Microsoft Office tools. 1. Strategy Development and Execution:

3. Content Creation and Management

• Supervise the creation, writing and editing of communication materials, including Annual Reports, digital fundraising campaigns, website and social media posts, videos, podcasts, presentation materials, letters, speeches, human interest stories, infographics and post-event pages.

• Ensure all content is clear and accurate, consistent with PBSG’s branding and messaging guidelines to avoid any miscommunication.

4. Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including fundraising, programme/volunteer management, etc to ensure co-ordinated efforts and consistent branding and messaging.

5. Communications Development and Policy Implementation

• Monitor trends to stay updated and leverage emerging communication technologies and platforms such as SEO and SMO to optimise online traffic through site structure and content.

• Develop and implement communication policies, processes, and protocols to maintain PBSG’s positive image and reputation.

6. Performance Measurement and Reporting

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for communication efforts and regularly track and report on the effectiveness of communication campaigns.

• Analyze data and insights to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

• Supervise Executive staff, subject to experience of candidate and on a need-to basis.

Requirements:

• Degree/Qualifications in MarComms, Journalism/Public Relations, Sociology or related field.
