RESPONSIBILITIES

• To follow location shoot as studio field assistant, assist Assistant Producer for filming matters.

The research programme represents a collaboration between the United Kingdom and Singapore and will be based at the newly established Imperial Global Singapore (IGS) as National Research Foundations Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE) located on the campus of the National University of Singapore. Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for medical research to assist in the development and characterization of a novel antithrombotic blood vessel coupler for microsurgical anastomoses. We will perform selective grafting of an antithrombotic compound in order to prevent blood from clotting after implantation of the coupler. Subsequently, we will perform a preclinical in vivo study to evaluate the anticoagulant potential of the coupler.

• Assist and support internal/external audits, tax investigation and audits
• Provide ideas to help drive best practice across all internal and external governance requirements

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or its equivalent
• Full set account, general/basic Taxation (GST/WHT/VAT), AP/AR, Balance sheet schedules
• Familiar with ERP system such as Oracle, Sage, Hyperion would be an advantage
• Ability to interact effectively with people. Clear, fluent and expressive use of verbal and written language to convey information and ideas
• Ability to work with minimum supervison, eye to details & good team work
• To Support financial audit as required or any ad-hoc task
• Good time keeping and prioritization skills

The HR Assistant and Officer will be involved in the day-to-day running of the office, and be involved in HR general and administration, employee experience and fulltime and internships recruitment and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the recruitment process of employees from job posting, to coordinating of interviews plus evaluation of candidates.
• Aid in the issuance or renewal of work passes plus the maintenance of employee files and data, employee confirmation and yearly appraisals.
• Help in the recruiting of student interns from the posting of the job descriptions, arranging of interviews to the final offering if the student is confirmed.
• Administer the entire on-boarding process including contract preparation, new hire orientation, logistics preparation for first day reporting, data verification, and P-file creation.
• Aid in the exit process of staff and interns who are leaving including the preparation of clearance documents, handover and removal of such personnel from the company’s attendance system.
• Administer the e-leave system, training database and government grants and claims.
• Administer employee benefits.
• Organize company celebration events, submit insurance claims, and keep track of annual insurance renewals and any other insurance payments.
• Work together with management in terms of adding in new staff and interns to the monthly payroll and removing old staff and interns.
• Contribute to the continuous process improvement projects and new initiatives to support the company's growth.
• Perform general administrative and reception duties including the ordering of pantry items or stationery, welcoming guests,and helping to receive deliveries.

Job Requirements

Job Description

Successful candidate will work with Dr. Chang and her team on the characterization of fungal diversity in mangrove sediment ecosystems. The funded project aims to characterize and explore the species and functional diversity of fungi in mangrove sediments using an approach combining amplicon sequencing and fungal culturomics.

The main job responsibilities of this position include:

• conduct fieldwork with other team members;
• perform molecular work in the lab (DNA extraction and PCR, and amplicon-sequencing library preparation);
• perform data analysis on metabarcoding sequencing data.

Qualifications

BSc in Life Science, Environmental Studies or related field

Basic R and basic statistical skills.

• Experience:
Prior experience with DNA work and/or metabarcoding data analysis is preferred.
