Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years working experience in Plastic Injection Moulding particularly in Medical Device Manufacturing industry
• Diploma/Degree in Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering/relevant field
• Experience in Minitab software

Job Descriptions:

• Perform inbound receipts / checking and other related activities.

The incumbent is responsible for managing/leading the Section Lab daily operations to support the achievement of the sales targets. In addition, the incumbent is to ensure the testing meets the ISO/IEC 17025 requirement and tests according to relevant standard and specification to fulfil the client/customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the routine and special works to meet the customer requirements, which include but not limited to:

- Review the relevant standards and test requirements before commencement of the jobs

- Organise and provide staffing, equipment and materials for testing

- Manage and minimise operations costs (e.g., manpower, maintenance of equipment, overtime, etc)

- Recommend or propose solutions for new testing scope requested by stakeholders for management decision making

Manage and supervise the administration works:

- check and ensure the completed test report is signed by authorised approved signatory

- review and update the test standard to the latest version (e.g., yearly)

- ensure invoices are sent to the client on time and accurate

- respond to the client for testing and technical enquiry

- purchase of machine/equipment

- schedule for Inter-Lab / Proficiency test program

- ensure SAC SINGLAS accreditation is successful

- monitor, track and close any non-compliance cases

Plan and manage maintenance and calibration of testing machine and equipment to ensure availability and reliability, which include:

- Schedule and send Lab equipment/machine for calibration

- Maintenance schedule for the machine and equipment

- Liaise with vendors for repairing of machine/equipment

Develop staff capacity and capability to support operational/business needs:

- Conduct staff performance appraisal

- Provide OJT, technical training and guidance

- Mentoring and coaching

- Prepare OJT blueprints

Basic Functions

Responsible in moving materials and products within the Plant and/or storage facility using forklift, hoist or other material handling equipment. Ships and/or receives materials, supplies, product and equipment as directed.

Specific Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials and finished goods
• Receives materials and records data as instructed
• Move materials, supplies, products, finished goods, goods in process within the Plant and/or storage area
• Operates various material handling equipment including, but not limited to, forklift trucks, hoists, cranes, motorized or manual conveyors, and other equipment
• Sorts and delivers material to various work areas as per instructions
• Packs and ships products and enter necessary data into appropriate systems
• Ensure that all store and warehouse documentation system to comply with ISO requirements
• Ensure monthly cycle counts are carry out and maintain the highest standard for accuracy of the inventory.
• Performs such individual assignments as the supervisor may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationship within the company, facility and department

Qualifications / Requirements

• Minimum Secondary education or GCE “N” level
• At least 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar position
• Meticulous and methodical
• 3 tons forklift license and SAP user preferred

• 8.30am to 5.15pm
