• Partnering with various functions on a local, regional, and global scale (including Head of Finance and Operations, Finance Director and SEA Management Team) to critically analyze performance, drive cost efficiency and identify areas of risk and opportunities
• Participating in cross-business decisions and ensuring a strong commercial financial presence
• Consolidating results of in-country finance teams for monthly reporting, budgets and forecasts for management and global headquarters while ensuring data integrity is maintained throughout the process
• Providing relevant, timely, and accurate financial information to support key responsibilities in controlling – including variance analysis of actual vs forecasts, monitoring and analyzing margins, inventory, and key drivers in delivering product category and supply chain objectives, tracking of capital expenditure against investment targets and ad hoc cost analysis
• Proposing improvements to processes and reporting, piloting tools to optimize business whenever necessary or relevant
• Contributing to the continuous improvement and development of existing and / or new systems within the organization
• Coordinating with business teams on budget cycle, strategic plans, internal process deadlines, reporting schedules, and follow up on deliverables

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

• At least 4 years of experience in retail or FMCG, with solid accounting and planning background
• Experience with SAP, Jedox and / or other performance management software
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable communicating across levels and functions
• Ability to learn quickly, grasp key business drivers, and communicate in a commercially focused manner
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and possess good organization skills

A full-time Administrative and Accounts Executive

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for music and a knack for numbers? Join our team at the music school as an Administrative and Accounts Executive, where you will be a key support role in managing the financial aspects of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supports the Finance Manager for the following roles:

• Performs bookkeeping and accounting work to ensure effective recording and punctual submission of financial reports for management.
• Payroll processing, CPF calculations, quarterly GST submissions, and income tax filings.
• Calculates monthly sales commissions, consolidates financial information, and updates database.
• Generate relevant financial reports as required by management.
• Optimise the use of technology for work efficiency.
• Interacts with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for work pass management.
• Maintains fixed assets schedules, manages inventory codes, and reorders supplies as needed.
• Collaborates with the customer service and operations team to ensure prompt accurate responses for inquiries. Oversee fee collection processes.
• Periodical review and proposal of relevant government grants. Manage grant application process.
• Explores opportunities for engagements with different government agencies.
• Other work as required by the Finance Manager or by Management

Requirements

• Efficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
• Comfortable with the use of technology for workplace efficiency, knowledge of software: EPOS, Metro, Favour, and Carbonate is an advantage but not compulsory
• Knowledge of IFRS 116 accounting standard preferred
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and possess good work ethics
• Professional and resourceful, and able to work in a team or independently with minimum guidance
• Good organization and time management skills
• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
