Position Summary

Join our growing team! As we expand into Singapore, we are seeking an Assistant Accountant, AP to support our Accounts Payable function. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and verifying supplier invoices, maintaining AP records, and ensuring compliance with company policies. You will also reconcile supplier statements and intercompany transactions, manage payments, and ensure accurate GST submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper approval, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.

Job Description

The Department of History at the National University of Singapore invites applications for a tenure-track position, beginning in August 2025, at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will have a completed PhD degree in History, and have a strong research agenda rooted in World History, with no preference for regions. Candidates should have an international profile commensurate with their rank and stage of career. The Department is particularly interested in applicants with research interests and accomplishments in one or more of the following subfields: gender; science, technology, and society; environment; the ancient world; and international relations. A demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to teaching Introduction to World History as well as more specialized courses for broad undergraduate audiences in the College of the Humanities and Sciences and the Department’s M.A. students. Successful hires are generally accorded, upon application, a start-up grant and thereafter have access to research grants from the Singapore government and other funding institutions. What you will do:

Installs more complex required system field devices and commissioning using standard configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoots and resolves problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. Keeps JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.

How you will do it:

• Responsible for attending to system breakdown calls and carry out scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate and monitor work progress with the customer and relevant parties for information to expedite installation and supervise sub-contractors work at the site.
• Check and ensure all installations conform to project specifications, and be able to manage system applications, drafting, database generation and commissioning of the systems under your care.
• Perform 24/7 standby duty for complaint and breakdown.
• Ensure safety procedures and conduct during service or repair.

What we look for:

• ITE/Diploma with minimum 1 year’s relevant experience handling preventative maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing activities.
• Service experience in the fire protection field/BMS/Security systems required for this role.
• Willing to standby and back up after office hours
• Willing to learn new things with good attitude.

Job Description

1. Conduct lab-based research and perform experiments.
2. Collaborate with colleagues both inside/outside the group.
3. Assist in daily lab management duties.
4. Present and report research results and publish scientific results in peer-reviewed journals in a timely manner.
5. Ensure compliance with environment, safety, health and quality program requirements from all levels (e.g. university, faculty of engineering and the department of MSE).
6. Translation and commercialization. Training will be provided

Job Requirements

A bachelor and a master degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering or related field is required. The candidate should also have some research experiences.
