This programme represents a new and timely collaboration between the United Kingdom and Singapore and will be based at Imperial Global Singapore (IGS) offices, located on the campus of the National University of Singapore. This senior role will be responsible for leading the coordination of the NH3-SOFC research team, working across materials science, device engineering, electrochemistry, and in collaboration with the Programme Co-Directors based at both IGS and Nanyang Technological University.

The programme aims to develop solid oxide fuel cells that can effectively and efficiently use ammonia directly as a fuel source while maintaining high performance and durability. To overcome challenges related to material compatibility, anode degradation due to nitrification, slow chemical/electrochemical processes, and performance loss, the research will explore new materials, catalysts, and cell designs. There will be two cell types of interest in this programme: i) oxygen-ion and ii) proton-conducting ceramic membrane electrolytes. The project will span the length scales, from materials discovery, including with computational approaches, through mechanical properties and microstructure optimisation to incorporation into short stacks for durability testing.

The Assistant Programme Director will be tasked with leading the coordination of the research team based at IGS, coordinating with the NTU based team in collaboration with the work package leads and contributing to management of the programmes finances and reporting requirements by working closely the IGS Associate Director. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you shall assist the Restaurant Manager to manage the business performance of the restaurant as well as the efficient running and daily operations of the restaurant, in accordance to the company’s standards. You are to assist in ensuring an efficient and profitable operations while the food,

service and hygiene standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales management

- Assist Restaurant Manager in building sales and maximise profitability by effective cost control to meet desired business results.

- Analyse and evaluate sales trend and trading area.

- Guide service crew to use various selling techniques to recommend and suggest additional purchases and upsell to customers.

Operations

- Operationally equipped to manage all service sections within the restaurant and

its related functions.

- Assist Restaurant Manager in the efficient running and daily operations of the restaurant, in accordance to the company’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

- Ensure smooth implementation and execution of A&P programs and new products.

- Evaluate and improve on operations and procedures.

- Assist the Managers in inventory control, food wastage and ordering.

- Maintain hygiene regulations and upkeeprestaurant cleanliness.

Staff management

- Assist Restaurant Manager in staffrecruitment, people development through training and staff retention.

- Lead and motivate staff in achieving salestargets and customer satisfaction.

- Lead and train staff in delivering excellentcustomer service quality and standards.

- Responsible for staff performance anddiscipline; monitor staff performance and conduct performance evaluation.

Service

- Assist Restaurant Manager in ensuringgood service standard; To providecustomer satisfaction and maintain effective communication with thecustomers.

- Attend to customers on food and beverages queries and complaints;resolving issues where possible and refer customers to managers when required.

- Manage and handle customer feedback and complaints in an appropriate and timely manner, aligned with company’s standards and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Responsibilities:

· Team Management and Task Completion: Oversee and ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks by the teams.

· Officer Deployment and Coverage: Monitor and ensure adequate deployment and coverage of all officers according to operational requirements.

· Report Submission: Review, vet, and submit reports to clients within established deadlines.

· Client Coordination for Special Assignments: Collaborate closely with clients to arrange and execute special assignments efficiently.

· Officer Audits: Conduct regular audits to assess the performance and compliance of officers with company standards.

· Recognition and Incentives: Issue commendation incentives and certificates to officers who demonstrate exemplary performance.

· Training and Development: Conduct refresher training sessions for officers as needed to maintain high standards of performance.

· Feedback and Complaint Resolution: Carry out preliminary investigations into feedback or complaints raised by members of the public (MOP) or client, and take appropriate action.

· Handover/Takeover (HOTO) Process: Perform HOTO for officers who have resigned or been terminated, ensuring a smooth transition.

· Spot Checks: Perform routine spot checks on officers to ensure adherence to operational protocols.

· Client Support: Assist clients with queries and provide timely responses to their concerns.

· Officer Support and Guidance: Advise and support officers with their queries, ensuring they have the necessary information and guidance to perform their duties effectively.

· Others: Required to attend to ad hoc on-site work as well as attend to ad hoc calls or texts, which may be outside office hours.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management or a related role, preferably in the security or law enforcement company.

· Proven track record of successfully managing teams and operational tasks.

· Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client liaison and officer support.

· Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in handling feedback, complaints, and preliminary investigations.

· Strong ethical standards and integrity, especially when conducting investigations and audits.

· Flexibility and adaptability in handling unexpected situations or special assignments.
