Patient Service Associate (Temp) – SOC – 6 mth Contract

• Dept: Respiratory medicine cardio dermatology endocrine, renal ophthalmology podiatric

• Must to have PSA or any relavent frontline healthcare exp. will not consider candidates without exp

• Staggered working hours, rostered (office hours 5.5days):

o 730am – 430pm

o 10am – 7.30pm

• $1700 - $3000 – depending on exp and education

JOB PURPOSE

Senior Patient Service Associate (PSA) will be part of the Specialist Outpatient Clinics Operations Team. He/ She will work closely with PSA Assistant Supervisor/ Supervisor, clinicians, Nursing and Allied Health teams, to ensure smooth daily clinic operations and provide excellent patient care and experience.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific

He/ she will:

1. Perform patient service duties which may include, not limited to:

o Roving patient service duties

 Be proactive in rendering assistance and training to patients in the use of self-service stations for registration or payment, patient applications, way-finding, bill/payment/Medisave claim enquires, as required

o Room assisting duties

 Provide efficient assistance to clinicians during consultations in terms of chaperone, administrative duties, preparing instrument sets for procedures, etc

 Relay doctor’s instructions to patient, schedule appointments, activate relevant provider ranking within the system and ensure all services are billed on a timely basis

 Manage queue for clinic

o Clinical support duties

 Perform phlebotomy, visual acuity, parameters taking etc as required

o Counter duties

 Provide financial counselling and listing for surgeries and admissions, medication supply verification, fall risk education, etc

o Administrative duties

 Manage phone calls, email enquiries, ensure clinic readiness etc

2. Be part of the team to support initiatives to work towards clinic’s KPI and provide on-the-job training for junior staff.
