Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist Senior Manager of Quality & Compliance to oversee the ISO Quality Management System held by the company.

• Work with internal stakeholders from Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Logistics, Courier, Cross Border Trucking Departments in achieving and meeting the set quality standards and procedures.

• Conduct training to stakeholders on topics related to quality standards and procedures.

• Work with internal stakeholders to understand and to meet the needs of customers.

• Gather quality objectives achievement metrics by internal stakeholders.

• Gather quality objectives achievement metrics by key suppliers.

• Work with internal stakeholders to gather customer satisfaction metrics.

• Monitor compliance to national and international quality standards and related regulations.

• Participate in quality related activities such as audit, qualification program, claims etc

Requirement

Minimum 2 years’ experience in quality management QC related field

Diploma level or higher. Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO13485 or SS620, TAPA or TradeFIRST.

Computer literate.

Details oriented with Excellent communication skills

Able to meet deadlines

Experience in managing a team

Prior working experience in freight forwarding/Logistics industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide strateg ic legal counsel and advice to the m anagement and business units on various legal and compliance matters.
• Assist with the development and implementation of internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Analyse and evaluate internal processes and provide recommendations to improve legal risk management
• Develop compliance training program me s for employees to promote awareness and understanding of internal policies and legal and compliance requirements.
• Manage disputes, litigation and any regulatory matters that may arise or affect the company’s business in local and regional offices.
• Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements , such as meeting filing and lodgment requirements
• Keep abreast of emerging compliance risks affecting the company . Continuously monitor new laws and regulations relevant to the business and ensure that the company's practices comply with the foregoing.
• Review a broad range of contracts, including sales distributor ship contracts purchase contracts and service contracts I dentify areas of improvement to legal precedents and develop new templates and bespoke contracts in line with business needs.
• Liaise with China HQ on reporting and approval matters.
• Assist the Head of Department in leading an d guiding the legal function
• Handle a ny other work assigned by the Head of Department and management

Job Requirements/Skills

• Prior experience in the manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
• Self motivated with strong drafting, analytical, management and communication skills.
• Solution oriented with an eye for accuracy
• 3 years of experience working as in house counsel or in law firms , with prior exposure to the compliance function preferred
• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in law.
