JOB DESCRIPTION

• Plan, organize and manage the Procurement and Supplier Management processes for the assigned Plant under Power & Renewables located in Singapore.
• Liaise with Plant/Project Manager, Section Manager/Head and Engineer to understand their current and anticipated demand for goods, services and works. Integrate the technical requirements into the Procurement Plan and to support in new Tender sourcing.
• Engage in sourcing, evaluating and qualifying of new suppliers. Conduct performance evaluation for existing suppliers on an annual basis.
• Identify and develop alternative suppliers and support cost reduction programmes.
• Handle and manage RFQ/RFP, commercial evaluations, price and T&Cs negotiation, PO/Contract award and PO/Contract administration to final delivery and PO close out - Ensure the Company's best interest is consistently achieved.
• Procure, administer, develop and manage all tenders, contracts in accordance with safety and budgetary requirements, technical specifications, contract and procurement guidelines.
• Ensure that the procurement process is in adherence to Company and Client requirements, Company policies and procedures.
• Work with applicable staff to research and resolve supplier issues which has been escalated and/or advise the assigned Plant as appropriate.
• Build and develop relationships with suppliers and contractors, manage relationships and assist in building effective partnerships.
• Undertake tasks, activities and assignments at the direction of the Procurement Manager.
• Ensure that the monthly procurement reports and cost saving / cost avoidance statistics are reported on-time to the Procurement Manager.
• Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering or equivalent business studies with more than 3 years of procurement experience, preferably with experience in Plants Operations & Maintenance environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
• High integrity,mature and driver to work independently.
• A good team player who is able to build rapport with a diverse workforce in a multi-cultural setting and work well with other departments and internal stakeholders.
• Strong ability to negotiate, resourceful, resourceful and good analytical skills.
• Able to work under pressure and align priorities for execution.
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA ERP, SAP Ariba and/or Maximo system is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Office, Excel.

Work Location: Singapore (Global HQ)

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global FP&A, the incumbent will be the Finance Business Partner to Sales and Marketing/Manufacturing/SCM/ Procurement/HR leadership globally in formulating short to mid business direction and plan.

The AM/Manager would work with an assigned Region and global level for tasks with relatively higher complexity. This calls for the ability to combine knowledge & skills informed acquired through experience, to take a holistic view in business review and to deal with ambiguity & volatility.

Key responsibilities:

• Facilitate the submission of forward-looking monthly forecasting, annual budget and long-term projections, followed with insightful analysis on trend & deviations.
• Conduct commercial analysis at in-depth level for actual data in financial statements, sales, production/CAPEX data, procurement data, inventory, Standard Costing Production variances and other relevant operational information.
• Perform analysis relating to product costing, manufacturing site costs, SCM costs, Inventory and CAPEX related processes for the Region assigned and at global level.
• Responsible for America region especially US FP&A full coverage. This includes full P&L analysis, review of financial trends, forecast, budget and CAPEX, etc
• Highlights exceptions & provide feedback to management for improvement.
• Lead global initiatives and projects on relevant improvement relating to work processes, reporting templates, efficiency, timeliness & accuracy in data collation / analysis and performance tracking.
• Provide leadership to all users at global level, as a Business Process expert, during system upgrades or new system implementation, working with external consultant to deliver results according to timeline.
• Represents Global Finance in ISO matters and also acts as ISO internal auditor for DyStar.
• Track & analyse KPI achievements at global level e.g. Revenue & profitability, by drilling down to Product Range, Sales Area & Customer details.
• Work with Business Intelligent tools, SAP/BW systems to gather data, turning data into storyline supported by graphical illustration.
• On ad-hoc basis (e.g. M&A activities, shareholders requests, legal cases, financial modelling), to support global leadership team in decision-making via periodic research and compilation of essential key information from internal & external sources e.g. market trend, competitive landscape, industrial benchmarking etc.
• Support Senior Manager on other ad-hoc assignments.

Requirements:

• Degree in in finance / accounting with minimum 8 years’ experience in FP&A and Standard Costing.
• Hands-on experience in production-oriented & manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of intermediate level of double-entries, basic understanding of intercompany transactions, project management would be a plus.
• Ability in designing & drawing graphs and interpreting them.
• Adept at working with large data sets and able to draw insights from it.
• Good understanding of ERP & BI Tools (SAP and SAP Business Warehouse will be an advantage).
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel).
• Good sense of urgency in meeting reporting deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, meticulous.
• Excellent communication skills & fluency in business English. Needs to be able to work with multicultural teams and communicate with various regional/global team members.
• Ability to speak and write Chinese will be preferred as this role requires liaison with our Chinese counterparts.
