Job Description:

• Assisting the Cook in food preparation activities, such as cleaning, cutting, chopping, and peeling food ingredients.
• Cleaning and sanitizing the food preparation areas based on company and industry hygiene codes and health and safety standards.
• Washing, disinfecting, and properly storing cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment
• Operating a variety of kitchen appliances and instruments
• Managing inventory, unloading supplies, and organizing the storeroom
• Ad-hoc task.

Requirement:

• Experience in kitchen operations
• In-depth understanding of food health and safety regulations
• Possess food safety certificate is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all areas of the kitchen are clean and sanitized including food processing equipment, cooking utensils and other light equipment
• To assist in daily food preparation and mise-en-place assigned by the Head Chef
• Cook and prepare assigned dishes for serving according to the menu (side and vegetable dishes)
• Ensure that all food are processed according to the corporate and government regulatory control in hygiene and sanitation standards
• Ensure the safe operation of all cleaning equipment and report to the management of any faulty equipment
• Attend weekly service meetings to improve and enhance service level
• Wears proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Grooming Standards Agreement
• Any other duties as and when assigned by Superior
