Imperial Global Singapore, Imperial College London’s formal research and innovation entity in Singapore, is seeking an experienced senior postdoctoral research assistant as an Assistant Programme Director for the NH3-SOFC research programme on development of direct ammonia solid oxide fuel cells. This programme represents a new and timely collaboration between the United Kingdom and Singapore and will be based at Imperial Global Singapore (IGS) offices, located on the campus of the National University of Singapore. This senior role will be responsible for leading the coordination of the NH3-SOFC research team, working across materials science, device engineering, electrochemistry, and in collaboration with the Programme Co-Directors based at both IGS and Nanyang Technological University.

The programme aims to develop solid oxide fuel cells that can effectively and efficiently use ammonia directly as a fuel source while maintaining high performance and durability. To overcome challenges related to material compatibility, anode degradation due to nitrification, slow chemical/electrochemical processes, and performance loss, the research will explore new materials, catalysts, and cell designs. There will be two cell types of interest in this programme: i) oxygen-ion and ii) proton-conducting ceramic membrane electrolytes. The project will span the length scales, from materials discovery, including with computational approaches, through mechanical properties and microstructure optimisation to incorporation into short stacks for durability testing.

The Assistant Programme Director will be tasked with leading the coordination of the research team based at IGS, coordinating with the NTU based team in collaboration with the work package leads and contributing to management of the programmes finances and reporting requirements by working closely the IGS Associate Director. • Partner and support Heads of Department (“HODs”) and line managers in a full spectrum of HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Staff Retention, Compensation, and performance appraisals as well as learning and development.
• Work closely with HODs on people management plans, including headcount planning, or organizational and team structure plans, for internal staff to meet business objectives.
• Handle on-boarding and off-boarding process for staff from assigned departments.
• Provide information required for annual budgeting and surveys submission
• Contact point for employee relations issues, provide accurate assessment of situations and provide HR advice to business units.
• Guide HODs on performance management processes such as coaching, counselling, career development and performance improvement plan for non-performing employees.

Compensation

• Manage job evaluations, salary structures, salary surveys submissions and data collection to drive compensation decisions for the Group.
• Ensure compensation programs comply with internal equity and external market competitiveness.
• Keep abreast of Singapore and Australia market trends and practices to provide market insights and required recommendations, in line with compensation strategies to effectively attract and retain talents.
• Administer performance management process including annual salary review and variable bonus exercises, and provide recommendation based on cost modelling and simulation.
• Establish policy, rating and distribution guidelines to ensure consistency in assessing employees during the annual review exercise.
• Plan and implement the annual performance review exercise to ensure timely delivery
• Act as a consultant to HR team (AUS and Singapore) on compensation related exercises such as annual performance review and job evaluation.
• Provide advice to managers and HR Partners on compensation and performance management related queries.

Benefits

• Manage relationships with external vendors of benefits services and drive service level.
• Review existing benefits and provide recommendations based on market practice, cost modelling and simulation.
• Negotiate benefits plan such as Medical Outpatient plans with vendors
• Evaluate existing and new benefits for the Group and implement framework and guideline where necessary

Other Projects

• Participate/ drive any HR projects such as government initiative or new commercial projects as assigned by supervisor
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management/ Admin/ Finance
• Minimum 8 years of HR experience, with at least 4 years’ experience in Compensation & Benefits.
• Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software
• Regional experience would be advantageous
• Proven track record in project management
• Solid understanding of labour legislation
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Some travelling is expected

Job Responsibilities:

• Identifying opportunities to reinforce company brand through retail activities to key audiences and take these forwards through planned updates and new retail initiatives.
• Hiring, training, and managing retail teams.
• Ensure merchandise display of the store is aligned to the standard.
• Supporting and managing retail exclusive brands from coordinating purchase orders to stock inventory management.
• Ensure effective management of after-sales service as well as handling customers’ feedback complaints and email enquiries.
• Ensure the business ethics are implemented and complied onsite.
• Provide administrative support, including documentation and follow-ups.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificates/Diploma in Retail Management/Tourism/Hospitaliy or relevant experience as candidates will be required to travel
• Bilingual in multiple languages, good communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills to execute sales campaigns with attention to details.
• Resourceful, self-motivated & great leadership skills.
• Possess strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Independent and able to work under minimum supervision.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel frequently and work overtime when needed.
• Prior experience in sales operations, F&B, or retail industries is a strong advantage.

• Assist the Therapists in all activities of therapy treatment
• Transferring / Portering of patients
• Perform equipment setup for treatment, inventory control and administrative duties
• Daily maintenance of the tidiness and cleanliness of the equipment in the department
• Interact with the patients and take care of patients during their therapy programs
• On-the-job training will be provided

Job requirements

• WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Therapy Support), or NITEC in Community Care & Social Services
• Must be able to stand for long durations
• Experience in a healthcare setting would be an added advantage
• A team player with good interpersonal skills
