RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of this role are to ensure effective and efficient coordination of our Pool vessel operations. • Responsible for daily vessel operations, including issuance of voyage instructions, planning, optimizing and managing voyage bunkers, appoint agents, optimize voyage PnL taking into account speed and tank cleaning instructions.
• Ensure that all financial requirements, funding and invoicing for each voyage are promptly arranged and correctly disbursed
• Process and ensure compliance with relevant charter party requirements and company procedures, relevant voyage or time charter operational information between vessels, brokers, charterers and agents
• Maintain account of bunkers on board and plan for optimized uptake for spot market ships
• Monitor and record all details of voyage performance including off-hire, stoppages and delays within the vessel voyage performance report system, including trends / gap analysis
• Identify opportunities within operational practices which influence performance of vessels
• Arrange all routine invoicing and funding for voyage costs, including agency appointments, non- compulsory pilotage and surveyors' attendance

Responsibilities:

Assist in the following Project Coordination activities

• Cordinate project activities, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
• Develop and review investigative case project plans in collaboration with the supervisor.
• Conduct open-source research through both open and subscribed databases, as well as social media platforms, to gather relevant and actionable data for investigative analysis.
• Extract key information and insights from investigative reports and intelligence products, transforming findings into actionable reports.
• Review all submitted analysis and investigative reports for accuracy, completeness, and professional quality.
• Ensure all project activities comply with client contract requirements and necessary measurements.
• Organize and coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and take detailed minutes.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.

Job requirement:

• A Polytechnic Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and network basics.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills to identify, assess, and resolve issues.
• Ability to collect and analyse data, identifying trends and patterns.
• Attention to detail and methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Good communication skills to report findings and collaborate with teams.
• Basic knowledge of security protocols and practices is an advantage.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Tracks and report daily work progress to the Yard Manager
• Ensures that the repair, conversion and construction jobs defined in the Specifications to be performed are carried out in accordance to the budget and schedule set by the Project Manager.
• Appoints approved subcontractors in consultation with Subcontracts Dept and Yard Manager and authorize purchase of equipment, spares and materials
• Ensures that records of work done are copied to the billing and project manager for their follow-up actions
• Responds to customer complaints and take corrective and preventive actions on errors of staff, subcontractors and suppliers
• Implements and maintain the Safety Management and Quality Management Systems.
• Communicate progress, highlights, and prioritizes between Hull Shop and Hull Afloat.
• Carries out special project documentation and case studies including work methods improvements.
• Ensures the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations.
• Ensures that Health, Safety & Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsel employees about compliance as necessary.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering/ or related engineering disciplines
• At least 4 years of relevant working experience in FPSO EPC projects
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprint, plan tools/ equipment/ material take off, prepare project schedule, and input manpower loading
• Willing to go on overseas assignment (2 - 3 months)
• Understands the yard’s various functional systems, ship repair knowledge and related commercial matters.
• Good Degree of planning, organisation, control, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, communication and people management skills required.
• Good knowledge in standards and class requirements on various works in ship repair industry.
• Good knowledge on safety requirements and standards for various works carried out in the yard.
• Possess skill to assess the cost and time required for the additional works.

Duties and responsibilities of the job

• Process accounts payable invoices matching and verifying with purchase orders, delivery Orders/goods receipts via Esker procurement system

• Ensure accounts payable invoices, petty cash and staff expenses claims are accurate and properly coded via Prosoft.

• Ensure GST recognition is incompliance with IRAS e-Tax Guide.

• Generates electronics (online) payments to vendors, ensure cheques are authorized and in line with Group Policy and processes.

• Verify vendor creation forms with necessary documents required for New Vendor creation in ERP system according to Group Policy.

• Prepare and update vendors’ reconciliation on a monthly basis.

• Handling and resolving internal and external vendors’ inquiries and issues.

• Clear and reconcile unallocated payments in ERP systems promptly.

• Ensures completeness of balance sheet schedule on a monthly basis including reconciliation of payments, monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

• Assist in AP month end closing and annual audit schedule (AP related).

Assistant Engineer (Project Management )

Summary:

Additional Information:
