We are in search of an accomplished, skilled, and exceptionally driven individual to join GetGo as our Assistant Accountant. Our preferred candidate is someone with strong commercial acumen, analytical prowess, and outstanding financial expertise who will play a key role in overseeing various aspects of corporate accounting functions. This includes, but is not limited to, managing reporting, consolidation, treasury operations, taxation, audit, cash flow management, and business planning matters.

Day to Day Activities

• Collaborate with the Senior Finance Manager to oversee the company’s financial well-being and support key compliance areas, including statutory audits, corporate tax, GST, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
• Provide guidance to Finance Executives and Associates by coordinating tasks and addressing inquiries.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, including preparing accounting ledgers, journals, schedules, and financial statements for internal and external requirements.
• Oversee bank and intercompany reconciliations, intercompany billings, and recharges while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Review and approve supplier and customer account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, journal entries, and financial data input into accounting software.
• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, including preparing monthly P&L flux analysis and identifying trends or potential issues.
• Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and company accounting policies.
• Assist in annual external and statutory audits, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulations.
• Facilitate collaboration with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and government authorities to meet reporting and compliance requirements.
• Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance finance operations, strengthen internal controls, and improve overall efficiency.
• Lead or assist in the implementation of new systems and processes, including driving system designs and conducting user acceptance testing.
• Maintain organized and confidential financial records to safeguard sensitive information.
• Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.

Who We Are Looking For

• Degree in Accountancy / Chartered Accountant / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum two (2) years relevant working experience in a fast paced working environment
• Result oriented, critical thinking skills and able to work independently
• Able to multitask, meeting deadlines and effectively communicating across different departments in an organization
• In-depth knowledge of full sets of financial accounts, preferably with experience in project management
• Familiar and hands-on experience with audits and accounts payable/receivable cycles
• Passion for the development of clearly-defined and optimization of operational processes
• Excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks
• Positive, meticulous, systematic, assertive, analytical, possess strong problem solving skills, good oral communication, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong in Excel and Google Sheets experience and familiarity with XERO is a plus

Job Description

• Processing payment and prepare cheque
• Supporting Accountant in data entry and information gather for reports purpose
• Record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Process and verify invoices, match them with purchase orders and delivery receipts, and ensure timely payment to vendors
• Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and verifying supporting documentation
• A/R, A/P transactions
• Any other ad-hoc work instructed by superior for account related matters

Requirements

• Min Diploma in Accountancy
• Accounting knowledge is necessary
• AT least 1-year experience
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records
