Store Assistant duties and requirements

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

• Proven retail sales experience.

Residence Assistant

(Live In Position – Fixed term)

Your Role

EF Singapore is looking for an amazing person to work as live-in Residence Assistant in our Residence at Chancery Court.

As a Residence Assistant you will live on-site with our EF students, providing general support and assisting with room checks, check ins and check outs.

Your main job is to make sure that the residence feels like a ‘home away from home’ for international students. This is an exchange of services. In return for your role as an RA, you have free accommodation living in the residence. Below you can find a list of some of the duties you can expect.

Mid-week duties are light and approximately 2-4 hours per week. Weekends are the main hours. Approximately 2 hours on a Saturday assisting with check outs & hours on a Sunday will vary, assisting with check ins.

Hours each week will vary depending on the number of students leaving and arriving.

The duties as a Residence Assistant include:

· Checking that rooms are ready, clean and available for arriving students (bed making & quick surface cleaning required)

· Meeting & greeting new students on arrival

· Assisting with checking in & taking students to rooms

· Informing arriving students about rules and fines (community standards)

· Regularly checking rooms to ensure facilities are in good condition & being well maintained & cleaned

· Curfew checks for U18s

· Ensuring that reported maintenance issues are dealt with efficiently by residence staff

· Assisting students with problems

· Ensuring that residence rules are being adhered to and report all issues to residence manager

· Liaising with Staff responsible about any issues or problems

· Liaising with the Residence Staff, organizing and partaking in weekly activities

· Run activities at the residence

· Reminding departing students of leaving date & procedures

· Ensuring check out rooms bed linen is ready for collection
