CANTEEN / CAFE Assistants perform all cleaning, washing and food preparation duties required.

Job Description

The assistant's responsibilities include assisting with inventory control, removing and washing the garbage area and clearing refrigerators, freezers, and storage rooms and counter. You should also be able to record notable food wastages.

The Healthcare Assistant support and assist the Staff Nurses and Enrolled Nurses in the delivery of nursing care to clients and help to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable Senior Care Centre environment for them.

• Participate in activities to improve the quality of care.
• Attend to clients’ needs and report their needs to the nurses.
• Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents.
• Assist in the transfer and positioning of non-ambulant residents.
• Assist in the conduct of daily exercises for the residents.
• Assist in serving meals and drinks, and feeding patient
• Escort patients to and fro between their homes and the Senior Care Centre.
• Alert Centre Manager of emergency situations immediately.

Job Requirements

• WSQ in Healthcare or equivalent qualification will be an advantage
• Must be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccinations
