POSITION SUMMARY:

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all communications and enquiries from current parents and internal staff.
• Manage school supplies, inventory, research, ordering, invoicing, deliveries, etc.
• Assist in open house events.
• Coordinate student transport arrangements (daily and field trips).
• Liaise with external providers for arranging Extra Curricular Activities (ECAs).
• Keeping a tidy reception area for welcoming guests.
• Assist with student’s break time, lunchtime, and pick up.
• Ad hoc duties as and when assigned by the principal.

The Position

Acts as the custodian of Boehringer Ingelheim's brand and reputation and ensures excellence in both internal and external communications. Guides and advises senior leaders in the handling of communications at times of crisis. Plays a key role in facilitating employee engagement through positive internal communications.

• To lead the Corporate Affairs functions in ROPU ASKAN.
• To develop, protect and promote Boehringer Ingelheim's corporate profile, brand and reputation with internal and external stakeholders and experts to ensure they are fully informed about the businesses, its activities, products and services, and see Boehringer as a partner of choice.
• The Head of Corporate Affairs ROPU ASKAN is an active member of the Division’s Extended Corporate Affairs Leadership Team and together with their corporate and R/OPU counterparts plays an active role in developing campaigns, aligning on strategic topics and priorities to secure tactical and operational alignment across Corporate Affairs globally.
• The Head of Corporate Affairs ROPU ASKAN is also an active member of the ROPU Executive Committee (ExCom).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops and executes an effective internal communications strategy aligned with our Global Priorities and Communications agenda to ensure everyone in ROPU ASKAN is actively and positively engaged with the organization’s strategy and objectives, plans and activities, and understands the Boehringer values and behaviors and their application.
• Develops and executes an effective and impactful public and government affairs strategy to shape the necessary policy environment so that it is favorable to Boehringer Ingelheim, engaging a broad range of public policy stakeholders such as politicians, industry associations and policy makers.Develops evidence that matters for government decision-making, establishing long-term relationships with policy and decision makers, positioning Boehringer Ingelheim as a partner of choice.
  Acts as a critical link, internally connecting with Boehringer Ingelheim, including e.g. Human Pharma Healthcare Affairs and Patient Engagement, and externally connecting Boehringer Ingelheim with policy makers’ needs and expectations.
  Monitors the political and policy environment, ensuring senior management is fully informed of key developments with a significant business impact.
• Promotes and protects Boehringer Ingelheim’s corporate profile, brand and reputation based on our Global Priorities, and our global Communications and Public and Government Affairs agendas, so that we help foster unique collaborations and partnerships, attract and retain future employees, and build trust with stakeholders in our products, our science and our brand. This includes overseeing the corporate social media channels and advising the business on social media techniques and tactics.
• Defines and executes fully integrated, strategic, campaign-driven and impactful communications, maximizing (product) awareness and managing the brand and reputation of Boehringer Ingelheim to support profitable growth of the portfolio across the Animal Health and Human Pharma businesses.
• Develops and manages plans for handling communications at times of crisis; advises senior management on all aspects of communications at such times; creates and delivers any necessary communications and engagement plans following a crisisRisks to reputation are minimized, stakeholders are managed appropriately, and the organization is restored to "business as usual" as quickly as possible.
• Drives the ROPU ASKAN’s Sustainable Development for Generations (SD4G) and local community engagement communications.
• Leads the Corporate Affairs team ensuring high performance and motivation by providing coaching, training, regular constructive feedback on performance and opportunities for development.
• Acts as a sparring partner and advisor to the CMD and relevant ExCom colleagues as they engage internally and externally with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s / Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field, with at least 10 – 15 years of relevant work experience in Corporate Affairs. Experience in Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences industry a plus
• An experienced and highly motivated leader in developing communications and public & government affairs at both a strategic and operational level for the region.
• Excellent verbal and written command in English, strong on media work and influencing strategies to act as the Company expert on all aspects of communications and public & government affairs; internal, external, utilization of appropriate media, ensuring activities are compliant with local regulations and guidelines.
• Possess detailed knowledge of the region’s political systems and processes and local industry association landscape, to develop a good understanding of Boehringer Ingelheim’s ROPU ASKAN business, activities, products and services.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to agreed deadlines, coordinates, and manages multiple priorities from a broad range of internal stakeholders whilst balancing the requirement to also manage external stakeholders, responding to unforeseen circumstances.
• Confident public speaker, able to engage a room of individuals with different perspectives and position a potentially controversial debate.
• Independent & comfortable speaking up; pro-active, precise and hands-on attitude, communicates clearly and effectively

Executive or Senior Executive, Colleges and Chapters

Location: Kim Keat Rd

Working days: 5 days (Mon - Fri)
Working time: 830am-6pm (Mon-Thurs) ; 830am - 530pm (Fri)
Salary: $3300 - $4200

Job Responsible:

• Provide secretariat and admin support for Colleges/Chapters organisational needs;
• Attend to meeting notices, agenda and minutes, and meeting logistics, including Council meetings and AGMs;
• Coordinate inputs and feedback on professional opinions;
• Assist in preparation and management of operating budgets;
• Administer requests for payments and invoices;
• Assist in production and distribution of promotional materials;
• Ensure currency and accuracy of information on website;
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations;
• Handle regular continuing medical education and continuing professional development programmes and activities;
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirement:

• Degree in Business Administration/Public Relations/Marketing Communication or equivalent;
• Preferably with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Administration and Secretariat support, preferably from the healthcare industry;
• Proficient in MS office;
• Able to work beyond office hours and on weekends/Public Holidays for meetings and events. (Time off given)
