Retail Manager
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills and able to interact with all levels, internally and externally, in a professional and responsive manner.
The incumbent is responsible for managing both front and back-end store operations in Singapore and London to ensure smooth operations and helping Group Managers with project management. He/ she is expected to:
About the Role
• Oversee and manage the supermarket's operations as a whole
• Manage budgets, maximize profitability and set/ meet sales targets
• Analyze and interpret trends to facilitate planning
• Lead and motivate team to achieve organization goals
• Manage customers complaints, compliments and feedback
• Manage stock inventory and stock control
• Plan and manage promotional spaces and activities
• Recruit, train, supervise and appraise staff
• Plan and perform biannual stocktake for the store
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service, health and safety are met as well as compliance with various government legislation (NEA, SFA, SCDF etc.)
• Continuously review and enhance existing store operations and processes to improve business
• Involve in projects such as planning for new store opening and renovation works for existing stores
• Execute promotion display and comply with company SOP
Requirements
• At least 5 years’ experience in supermarket/retail industry, such as 7-11, Scarlett, Valu$, FairPrice etc.
• Excellent command in speaking and writing in English and Chinese
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Independent, self-motivated, resourceful and reliable
• Open-minded and willing to learn
• Customer and service oriented
• Action-oriented and outcome-driven
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work in a team
