GENERAL OVERVIEW

The incumbent will be involved in corporate treasury and finance functions including optimisation of the company's working capital, foreign exchange management, back office confirmation and settlement activities, and treasury reporting. In addition, you will be involved managing customer and vendor credit risks.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

• Participate in the management and optimization of cashflow and liquidity. Includes preparing cashflow forecast, placement of surplus funds, evaluating opportunities for yield optimization, identifying opportunities for loan prepayments and highlighting promptly short-term borrowing needs, if any.
• Analyse foreign exchange positions and assist in ensuring the fulfilment of foreign exchange requirements while managing the company’s exposure to foreign exchange fluctuations.
• Prepare forecast of project cashflow requirements. Prepare and submit loan draw down documents to meet project cashflow requirements.
• Forecast and report on interest expense, covenant compliance and capital structure metrics.
• Undertake credit risk management tasks which include performing financial assessments of potential vendors and customers, periodic reviews of counterparty credit ratings, monitoring the sufficiency and validity of bank security coverage.
• Maintains bank signature mandate and facilitates opening/closing of bank accounts, where required.
• Management of back office confirmation and settlement activities for Treasury transactions.
• Assist in updating Treasury policy and procedures.
• Prepare Treasury month end close report, monthly management report for Treasury and/or presentation slides for reporting of Treasury matters.
• Participate in Treasury or cross-functional digital and/or process improvement projects, as required.
• Performs a variety of other Treasury related duties and responsibilities, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in relevant disciplines such as Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics from a reputable institution.
• At least 4 years of working experience in Finance/Treasury.

Main Purpose of Job:

Support the Asia Investment division in its development and monitoring of SJP’s Asia investment proposition, ensuring it provides a suitable and competitive investment offering for the Partnership and one which meets client needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Job:

The role holder will be part of a pool of resources within the Asia Investment Division and will work with senior members of the Asia Investment Division to deliver the overall Asia investment proposition.

Responsibilities of the role holder include (but are not limited to):

• Ongoing monitoring of the investment portfolios and funds across Asia, including:

1. Portfolio / fund charting, research, and analyses
2. Build and maintain efficient processes for obtaining the data and information for investment analyses
3. Producing investment Management Information (MI)
4. Producing bespoke asset reports for partners / clients / regulatory reporting
5. Perform product due diligence and fund research as required

• Manage partner queries relating to the Asia investment proposition, including managing the Asia Investment team mailbox and/or provide on-the-ground assistance to partners as needed.
• Prepare updates relating to portfolios and funds for partners and clients. These include portfolio reports, factsheets, client aids, and investment commentaries.
• Manage and prepare trades for 3rd party products that have business with SJP. These include but not limit to iFast Financial, Swissquote, Friends Provident International and Utmost International.
• Work with the automation team on Investment related projects.
• Foster positive working relationship with the Business Support team and generate ideas to increase the level of Partnership engagement.
• Formulate investment solutions through portfolio construction either as part of the inhouse portfolio updates or bespoke advisory portfolio requests, through fund research, analyses, and stress testing.
• The support of our External Asset Manager (EAM) operations including investment dealings and portfolio maintenance on the EAM platform.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and to flag irregularities & potential risks.
• Ensure ESG considerations are built into the Asia Investment proposition, and that clients are treated fairly at all times in their investments (in line with group business priorities).
