Job Description

• Develop and create 2D and 3D piping layouts, plans, isometrics, ensure that piping designs are optimized for efficiency, ease of maintenance, and compliance with project and industry standards
• Create detailed piping layouts and general arrangements for the plant, ensuring that pipe routing minimizes interference with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) and optimizes space utilization

As a Marine Design Engineer, you will own engineering responsibilities for all Cavotec’s shipboard shore power retrofit projects. Type of retrofit can be either turnkey, repair and upgrading. Project execution takes place either during voyage or at shipyards, or at times, both.

Shore power/ HVSC/ Alternative Maritime Power (AMP)/ Cold-ironing system enables vessels to connect to shore power while at berth, hence minimizing emissions and noises from the ship’s auxiliary engines. Job Description:

1. Preparation of design calculation sheets, design & construction drawings, and any other
related documentation
2. Receive approvals from relevant Authorities and/or Employers
3. Prepare concrete design calculations such as bridges, drainage culverts, and retaining
walls
4. Prepare steel structural design calculations such as steel bridges, and temporary sheet
piles
5. Prepare settlement/consolidation calculations
6. Prepare slope stability calculations
7. Prepare construction planning & management for the works such as reclamation,
dredging, soil improvement, soil investigation, ground compaction, piling, steel
fabrication, and concrete, etc.

Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
2. Design experience such as piling foundation, drainage, Earth Retaining Stabilizing
Structure (ERSS), soil improvement design (PVD, DCM, sand pile, gravel pile), ECM, Gravity wall, FEM, Slope stability
3. Familiar with the latest design standards such as Eurocode, British standards, ACI, ASCE, PIANC, CIRIA etc.
4. Well-versed in software e.g. Auto CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Geoslope, PLAXIS etc.
5. Contract duration of 3 years
6. 5.5 days' workweek
7. Project site located at Woodlands

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify project design hazards, construction risks, and constructability issues.
• Develop corresponding mitigation measures together with the project team.
• Chair regular risk mitigation meetings and training with clients and internal parties.
• Advise management on alternative safer and higher productivity construction methodologies.
• Review method statements and risk assessments for safety and construction compliance.
• Attend meetings related to construction progress, risks, etc.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Managements.

Job Requirements:

• Have reasonable exposure in safety and health for construction especially on transportation infrastructure projects in a similar nature
• Attended the Design for Safety (DfS) for Professional Course and passed the assessment or equivalent.
• A registered PE or Architect with a Practicing Certificate OR
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the design and the supervision of the construction of structures with at least 5 years in design which includes contributions to designs and writing specification
• Have a degree accepted by PE Board or Board of Architect and construction related degree accepted by Singapore Institute of Surveyors (SISV) and Society of Project Managers (SPM)
• Possess excellent leadership, planning, good management skills, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
• Have experience in LTA projects have an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

· Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules for interior design projects. Coordinate with clients, designers, contractors, and vendors to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.

· Building Submission: Understand the requirements and procedures to assist clients in obtaining the necessary permits for renovations on commercial, condo and landed projects. Manage and produce the necessary drawings required for these processes.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Project Management, or a related field.

· Candidates with Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent will have an added advantage.

· Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the interior design industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects across commercial spaces, landed properties, and residential projects.

· Strong understanding of interior design principles, construction processes, and project management methodologies.

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in engineering manufacturing industry
• MUST be proficient in using AUTOCAD software – Solidworks
• Proficient in Microsoft office

• Prepare detailed M&E drawings, shop drawings, and As-built drawing

• Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing, applying knowledge of electricity and materials

Responsibilities:

• Create mixed-signal verification and coverage strategies tailored to complex IC designs, aligning with design architecture and specifications.
• Construct verification testbenches using standard verification languages and methodologies, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
• Author and execute test cases to validate mixed-signal circuits, focusing on functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Analyze verification results meticulously, offering constructive feedback to design teams for improvements.
• Collaborate closely with design and layout teams to pinpoint and resolve any design issues encountered during verification.
• Innovate and refine verification methodologies, tools, and techniques to enhance scalability and portability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical & electronic or equivalents and with minimum 7 years of working experience.
• Proficient in analog and mixed-signal circuit design and verification principles.
• Capability to formulate test plans, deliver presentations on findings, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with verification methodologies and tools including simulators, waveform viewers, automated execution, simulation time optimization, and coverage analysis.
• Proficient in programming abilities, capable of crafting efficient scripts or programs in languages such as Perl, Python, and/or C.

Project-based Architectural Design Consultancy Services:

• Conceptualize concept and schematic designs.
• Carry out feasibility studies and presents design proposals.
• Design development that would include detailed drawings and specifications for contractors to follow for construction purposes.
• Assist in tendering and bidding processes and inspect the on-going construction to ensure that the project is built according to design plans.
• Liaise with and discuss project-relevant issues with clients.
• Negotiate with contractors on design requirements and building progress.
• Oversee progress of on-site work; ensure project is built according to design plans and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Work with engineers and surveyors to make sure that the building plans meet the necessary building standards.
• Project and/or design management of more than 3 - 4 projects at any given time.

Research-related Work:

• Assist in carrying out practice-based research into specific issues and challenges surrounding the built environment, with the aim of gaining greater insight into these issues and developing design strategies and solutions in response to them.
• Work with Director (Design and Research) to enhance public/industry awareness of the firm’s design philosophies, capabilities, and accomplishments (directly and indirectly) through design, writing, teaching, and research work.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience in the related field.
• Able to work well with a team and take the lead at the working level.
• Able to guide younger staff in design matters.
• Possess good design and graphic communication skills, especially in the concept design, schematic design and design development stages.

• Some experience with tender documentation and construction stages.
• Software skills: Rhino, Grasshopper, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. Revit and computational skills will be a plus.
