Art Director/Senior Art Director

Responsibilities

· To generate exciting ideas to fulfil clients’ briefs and to engage in executing layout designs for art work and copy

· To supervise shoots independently locally and overseas

· Independently oversee a project cycle; from conceptual to production

· Meets art department work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements

· Produces illustrative material by assigning layout design concept to artists and photographers; directing development of design concepts into art layouts

· Prepares layouts for printing by marking-up, pasting-up, and finishing layouts

· Have a positive attitude towards collaborating with team members and other stakeholders to participate in pitches

· Competent in bringing the ideas to life visually

· Ensuring a high standard of visual execution across all media and campaigns

Requirements

· Candidates should possess about 3 years of relevant experience with an integrated portfolio

· An excellent team player and to be able to work well with front-end/back-end programmers

· Possess a good eye for craft with the ability to work independently

· Good communication and presentation skills

· Strong production knowledge in TV, Print and Digital

· Experience on activation and in UI

· Experience in UX / wireframes

· Competent in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

· Knowledge on other softwares: InVision, Sketch, AfterEffects, and Animate CC would be an advantage

Job Description

• Assist the Executive Producer in planning, coordinating during the pre-production, production and post-production.
• Plan and organize the work schedule efficiently. Able to react swiftly to unforeseen schedule changes.
• Arrange meetings with relevant departments (internal and external) and gather information for budget planning.
• Prepare and manage tender processes to facilitate smooth production of project.
• Make reservations for facilities and resources (editing, filming crew, transport, extras, Audio Post, studios etc) needed for production.
• Assist Producer and Assistant Producer for location filming by coordinating facilities, talents booking, location permits and keeping tracks of production schedules and budget.
• Liaise with sponsors, service providers and vendors for products and/or services required in production.
• Arrange meeting with Airtime Sales / Network Programming to discuss on potential client that are interested to sponsor the programme with incidental exposures.
• Assist Assistant Producer on their line-ups, rundowns, location requisition and ensure they submit it on time for filming.
• Arrange post mortem meeting and submit report after meeting.
• To prepare and execute administrative and budget processes promptly.

Qualifications

• At least Diploma or Certificate in TV Communication, TV Production or Project Management.
• Minimum 2 years of production experience.
• Keen interest in TV Productions. Good knowledge of sports will be advantageous.
• Familiar with internal sports productions and processes will be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of studio production, field and production management.
• Possess good organisational skills.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work under stress.
• A good team player and adaptable to changes.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the planning and implementation of the project from working with Creative, Research, and Development on materials to use, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
• Create and execute project work plans and implement the necessary changes to meet changing needs and requirements to achieve the project objectives.
• Define critical path, anticipating potential problems and propose appropriate solutions to overcome these problems effectively and efficiently.
• Manage project budget and cost management. Great sense in pricing strategy and cost structure.
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Review project progress and to communicate timely to the various stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Diploma with at least 3-4 years of relevant experiences.
• Good knowledge in cost and quality control, resources planning and on-site operations.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, as you are the connection between client and team.
• Strong technical knowledge – able to read technical drawings and understand production requirements.
• Prior experience with planning and executing multi-faceted, complex integrated events (virtual, hybrid and physical) will be a bonus.

Scope:

The Senior Art Director is responsible for the visual creation of advertising campaigns, including print, TV and collateral material. This includes establishing the conceptual and stylistic direction for clients’ projects and orchestrating the work of production artists, photographers, illustrators, pre-press technicians, printers and anyone else who is involved in the development of a project.

You need to have the imagination, drive and enthusiasm for producing industry-leading work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Copywriter to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfil clients’ brief.
• Produce sketches or 'storyboards' (television) or 'scamps' (print) to communicate ideas to the clients.
• Gain an understanding of the target audience and business that the advertisement is aimed at.
• Meet with the Creative Director and Account Manager before presentation of ideas to clients.
• Pitch ideas to clients.
• Brief other members of the team.
• Commission photographers, artists or film-makers to work on projects.
• Visit and assess locations for potential shoots.
• Work on location.
• Attend meetings at production houses and with other directors.
• Work in editing suites to oversee the finished product.

Required Skills & Preferred Qualifications:

• Good communication skills and the ability to express abstract ideas visually.
• Creation and implementation of the visual design elements associated with brand positioning, public relations and strategic marketing for conveying clients’ unique message.
• Understanding of clients’ vision and ensuring its development by the team.
• Creation and administration of project schedules and budgets.
• Ability to maximize the financial resources and earnings of both clients and company

Job Responsibilities:

Design & Specifications Management

• Responsible for the design submission, shop drawings, standard details and calculations, etc.
• Lead and conduct front-end engineering and design works including conceptual and feasibility studies
• Review the design, specifications, and drawings in the construction projects to drive cost savings through improvements in construction methods, sequence and/or material used
• Resolve technical issues at the upstream flow during the design and planning stage before the projects were executed.
• Attend technical/design clarification and project meetings with the vendors and the subcontractors with regard to the combined services drawings
• Develop and manage the design approval process with subcontractors, consultants and clients in a timely manner
• To report on the design submission to the client and undertake DAR submission
• Responsible for the testing and commissioning of high voltage & DC systems, ISCS and interface management

Budget & Schedule Management

• Establish and track the development of design deliverables against the procurement schedule and budget
• Identify and highlight any potential design risks or issues that will impact Project Performance

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma/Degree in any Engineering Discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in 22KV high voltage DC system designing, installation and testing & commissioning
• A team player with a strong analytical mind and the ability to work independently
