Purpose of the Role:
The Design & General Manager at ALBD Living, Singapore, will be pivotal in driving the companyās vision to become the leading boutique full-service Interior Design, Marketing, and Branding Studio. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to ensure operational excellence, financial growth, and the delivery of exceptional design solutions. By fostering innovation, building strong client and supplier relationships, and cultivating a high-performing team, the Design & General Manager will position ALBD Living as a thought leader and a trusted partner in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership:
Ā· Oversee all aspects of the Singapore office, including design, client service, and project execution.
Ā· Manage performance targets, KPIs, and budgets to achieve financial and strategic goals.
Ā· Ensure operational efficiency, optimize processes, and maintain compliance with regulations.
2. Financial Management:
Ā· Achieve EBITA targets (20%) by improving operating ratios, pricing strategies, and supplier relationships.
Ā· Drive financial growth with a minimum benchmark of SGD $3M in revenue within 12 months.
3. Organic Revenue Growth:
Ā· Focus on expanding the Singapore/Australia client base through new acquisitions and enhancing relationships with existing clients.
4. Leadership and Team Development:
Ā· Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team in a collaborative and scalable work environment.
Ā· Conduct workshops and training sessions to develop skills and prepare the team for future growth.
5. Design Excellence:
Ā· Champion innovative and high-quality design solutions aligned with ALBD Livingās brand vision.
Ā· Ensure projects meet exceptional standards for creativity, functionality, timelines, and budgets.
6. Client and Supplier Relationship Management:
Ā· Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates.
Ā· Act as a trusted advisor to deliver exceptional service and outcomes.
7. Market Expansion & Positioning:
Ā· Establish ALBD Living as the leading boutique full-service studio in Singapore.
Ā· Develop strategies to maintain thought leadership through speaking engagements, publications, and industry awards.
These KPIs ensure a balance between creative excellence, client satisfaction, and the companyās commercial success. Regular tracking and evaluation of these metrics will guide the continual improvement of both creative and strategic efforts.
Requirements:
Ā· Bachelorās Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Ā· 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within the Interior Design, Branding, or Marketing industry.
Ā· Proven track record of achieving financial growth, including meeting revenue targets.
Ā· Demonstrated ability to oversee business operations, including design, project execution, and team leadership.
Ā· Experience in client relationship management and supplier negotiations.
Ā· Strong understanding of financial metrics such as EBITA, cost optimization, and pricing strategies.
Ā· Familiarity with the Singapore and Australia markets is advantageous.
