Job Responsibilities:

1. Assisting and supporting technical sales team in terms of scope of supplies and costing with respect to electrical, automation requirements during the prospecting stage for water/wastewater related systems and projects.

8. Compiling and handing over operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals (electrical and PLC portions etc) to our agents/distributors and end-user customers.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is seeking a full-time research assistant (RA). The roles of the RA include assistance in developing cutting-edge frameworks that integrate uncertainty estimation into sensor systems to enhance the robustness and safety of autonomous CPSs. The selected candidate will work closely with Dr. Qun Song and a multidisciplinary team of researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and evaluation of uncertainty-aware frameworks for autonomous systems.
• Implement and test algorithms on various sensor systems.
• Work with real-world datasets and open-source simulators. Analyze data to evaluate system performance.
• Assist in developing and deploying prototypes for uncertainty-aware CPSs on autonomous racing cars and real-world testbeds.

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Fellow to join our interdisciplinary research team. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge theoretical and computational research in the following areas:

Research Areas:

1. Electromagnetism and Plasmonics: Theory and computational modeling of electromagnetism in complex media, plasmonic systems, and metamaterials, with a particular focus on cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) and interactions between light and matter at the nanoscale.
2. Inverse Design in Nanophotonics and Quantum Nanophotonics: Application of inverse design techniques to optimize and design novel photonic structures and devices, including metasurfaces, photonic crystals, and quantum nanophotonic systems.
3. Plasma and Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) Modeling: Development and application of advanced plasma modeling tools, such as particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), to study their interaction with plasmonic or excitonic systems.
4. Novel Optoelectronic Effects: Investigation of new optoelectronic phenomena in low-dimensional materials (e.g., 2D materials, nanowires, and quantum dots) and time crystals, focusing on their potential applications in next-generation devices.
5. Non-Hermitian and Topological Photonics: Study of non-Hermitian systems and topological photonics, including the exploration of novel phenomena such as exceptional points, edge states, and robust modes in photonic systems.

• Develop and implement theoretical models to describe complex physical systems in the research areas mentioned above.
• Conduct large-scale numerical simulations to study the behavior of plasmonic, nanophotonic, and optoelectronic systems.

• Required:

  • Solid experience in computational physics, with proficiency in numerical simulation techniques such as finite-difference-time-domain (FDTD), finite-element method (FEM), particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations, and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD).

• We seek out for a researcher with a PhD in Physics or similar. In particular the candidate is expected to have a strong back ground in many-body quantum physics with extensive experience in tensor networks and neural network quantum states.
• The researcher will work on developing the numerical approaches and apply them to areas such as quantum thermodynamics, many-body quantum systems out of equilibrium and biology.
• High competence in parallel programming and GPU programming is preferred.

Research Fellow position available to lead research projects in Optics and Photonics. Particularly we are interested in the specific topic of nanoantenna-enhanced light emitting devices. Here, the goal is to incorporate plasmonic and/or dielectric antennas to enhance performance of optical and electrically driven light sources that consist of quantum emitters such as quantum dots, dyes, nanoparticle upconversion clusters. The researcher will work in collaboration with teams across Singapore including NUS, IMRE, NTU and SUTD to design, fabricate and test devices.
