Due to rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced Design Manager cum Team Leader to strengthen our technical team. This is a full-time position, and it is perfect for someone with rich façade design knowledge and passionate about managing roles.

Job Responsibilities

· In charge of Design Team to carry out façade design works.

· Organize and plan a design works to meet construction schedule.

· Provide leadership and manage the team members in a professional manner, e.g., allocation of work, providing guidelines to them in drafting to maintain the quality, improving productivity, checking drawings and cutting list profiles etc.

· Ensure design, drawings, and all other deliverables meet the standard requirements, specifications and within scope of works.

· Identify additional work/variations to the Project Manager / Contract Manager for processing/approval of the variation order.

· To coordination between Design Team, Consultants, Main Contractor and other contractors.

· Assist site team in resolution of site clashes.

· Participate in workshops and lead, review and comment of shop drawings in terms of constructability, sequencing and ensure quality of the design is maintained throughout.

· Manage the design change process to ensure minimal impact to project schedule and minimize cost impacts as a result of such design change.

· To resolve any unforeseen interface problems throughout the various design phases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, develop design specifications, and support design proposals.
• Create conceptual and detailed designs for automation equipment, including material handling and process automation.
• Produce detailed CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor or similar software, and release comprehensive design documentation.
• Work with the manufacturing team on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), assembly processes and qualification procedures.
• Assemble, test and qualify prototypes, troubleshooting as necessary to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.

Requirements

• Experienced in designing industrial automation using Autodesk Inventor, with expertise in pneumatics, motion components, DFM, DFA, and GD&T.
