Reviews package design requirements, define the package stack-up and conduct final design review. Typically responsible for projects, or portions of projects, to design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate semiconductor Packaging.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ensure efficient and effective management of design activities on tenders and projects to ensure that all design requirements of the contract are fulfilled
2. Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements, including standards and codes of practice, relating to the design
3. To oversee and supervise existing design team
4. Ensure design process and submissions comply with statutory regulations and requirements
5. Responsible to provide a fully functional structural system, analysis and calculations to fulfil adequate structural integrity and accuracy of the design
6. Must be able to lead, manage and check all kinds of design drawings by members
7. Coordination with relevant departments during the Design stage
8. Ensure that all technical/detailed drawings are compliant with the relevant codes and/or regulatory requirements
9. Ensure that all drawings must be done with constructability to site requirements, be practical, easy to understand, able to meet clients expectations and good profitability for the Company
10. To provide evaluation/findings and project results to HQ Tokyo in Japan on a frequent basis

Requirements:

1. Degree/Masters in Architecture/Engineering or equivalent
2. Minimum 12 years of working experience in the related field
3. Proficient in Software such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
4. Able to lead a team
5. Fluency in spoken and written Japanese is necessary as the incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate with counterparts in Japan, Tokyo Head Office such as monthly progress reports
6. Ability to prioritize tasks well and able to work independently
7. Required to be resourceful, pay attention to details and has good communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Lead RTL design, simulation, and verification for TetraMem ASIC/SoC products, ensuring robustness.
• Integrate and validate IP blocks for seamless system functionality.
• Analyze requirements for Power, Performance, and Area (PPA), optimizing design trade-offs.
• Collaborate with backend team in RTL coding, implementation, and synthesis for successful tapeout.
• Create and maintain reusable IPs for AI/in-memory computing.
• Support Post-Si testing to ensure product functionality and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers to facilitate their professional growth.
• Contribute to design reviews for improved product performance and reliability.
• Stay current on RTL design methodologies for efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful product development.

Requirements:

• Minimum Master in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of working experience with emphasis on RTL/SoC/digital design.
• Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Proficient in VCS, Verdi, or similar industry-standard tools.
• Skilled in pre-layout and post-layout simulation.
• Knowledgeable about the design flow and collaboration with backend teams.
• Familiar with AMBA APB and AXI protocols.
• Familiar with RISC/Arm or other core architectures.
