Introduction
This position is for a SPICE modeling expertise/project lead who will primarily work on the compact device model development for BCD/BCDlite/Power management and Analog-Mixed Signal applications. The candidate will also work on development of modeling test structures, technology benchmarking and customer support for mainstream and derivative technology nodes.
Your Job
- Responsibilities will include:
- Development of SPICE models for active and passive including CMOS, LDMOS, HVMOS, resistors, BJTs, diodes for bulk and SOI technologies
- Drive best practices in model extraction, QA/ validation & QA flow
- Work with measurement and layout teams on modeling testchip generation to enable testing of wafers across different work sites/ regions
- Working closely with lab engineers on the device characterization (DC/CV/Transient), Data analysis and Model Hardware Correlation
- Development of models for Multi-finger scaling effects, Self-heating effects, Local Layout effects, Noise and statistical modeling
- Working closely with PDK (Process Development Kit) teams to provide world class design enablement solutions
- Maintain good communications with cross-functional teams (SPICE lab/ PDK/ Device/ Process/ DM/ Layout) to executive PDK/model related projects & resolve PDK/model related issues
- Provide technical support on customers' queries on SPICE model & help to resolve model related issues in a timely manner
- Collaboration with EDA companies on the simulator issues and support to meet customers’ requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: PhD/ master's in electrical engineering or physics
- Experience: At least 3 years of industry experience and expertise in LDMOS/HVMOS/CMOS device modeling
- Must have in-depth Semiconductor device physics knowledge
- Expertise with SPICE level simulators such as HSPICE, SPECTRE
- Language Fluency – English (Written & Verbal)
- Experience in a foundry environment supporting SPICE modeling across multiple technology nodes and products
- Experience in CMOS and derivative technologies such as high voltage, LDMOS, analog/mixed signal, low power
- Excellent ability to meet tight deadlines, commitments and deliver customer requirements.
