Key Responsibilities:

• Work with product development team to design and implement system control and interface PCB
• Perform debugging, testing and improvement for existing and new products
• Carry out entre flow of PCB design from schematic, gerber generation and components selection
• Maintain CAD library for PCB Gerber and schematics document
• Perform other related duties

Key Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Embedded system/Electronics or equivalent
• Experience in Electronics hardware design including circuits analysis, IO interface to microprocessor and components selection
• Knowledge of communication interface pcb design like RS-232, RS-485, Devicenet, Profi-Bus, EtherCat is a plus
• Experience in PCB schematics and artwork layout is highly preferred
• Strong problem solving, teamwork and communication skill

THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a talented, motivated and self-driven digital design engineer to be part of the SerDes Technology group. You will be part of the team developing SerDes/Transceiver designs and solutions. The role involves work on all aspects of the FPGA/ASIC digital design flow including architectural specification, test planning, RTL design, functional verification, through synthesis and implementation to hardware and post silicon validation.

THE PERSON:

The successful candidate will execute design work and contribute technically with a high general impact on the overall design. We are seeking someone who is innovative, highly accurate and detail-oriented, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills to join our design team.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Design and development with leading edge technology nodes on digital logic blocks.
• DFT implementation and verification.
• Perform test bench development and functional verification of developed digital logic blocks.
• Perform post silicon validation, testing and debug of block functionality on prototype silicon.
• Work closely with system architect, project manager, design and verification teams to develop design specifications documents, verification plans, and validation test plans.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in ASIC/digital IC development with completion of several complex ASIC or IC tapeouts.
• Working experience of RTL coding in Verilog/VHDL language, verification, logic synthesis and DFT in high performance design.
• Experience in test planning/creation/analysis of post silicon validation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
• Problem solving and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of UVM and SystemVerilog language

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering, and minimum 10 years relevant work experience.

LOCATION:

• Reports to the Design Manager
• Review/Develop design drawings and documents in accordance with project requirements
• Coordinate all design related matters and participate in regular/ad-hoc meetings with Clients / Design consultants / Viaduct specialists / Subcontractor
• Monitor and update design schedule regularly
• Prepare & review shop/fabrication drawings for temporary/viaduct structure
• Support Design manager & lead in-house design engineer/drafter

Job Requirements
