Purpose of Role:
This person is responsible for ship electrical detail design activities and able to process basic design information to expand the function design into production information for the marine vessel.
This role shall perform engineering of electrical and navigation equipment to the related platform equipment, as well to interface with Ship Management System (SMS). The scope includes :
o Main Power generation and distribution system network and architecture
o Integrated electric propulsion systems, Power management systems
o Engineering integration between ship equipment / Ship Monitoring system with Electrical power generation
o Electrical fittings, equipment and panel arrangement
o Preparation of equipment connection and cable schedules
o Electrical design calculation
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for vessel electrical system detail design in accordance with Marine Classification and regulatory, as well as IMO/Solas
• Review vendors technical proposal to ensure solution meets the functional requirement
• Responsible for ensuring the Contractual technical requirement and Classification requirement of automation related design are fulfilled and within project schedule.
• Liaise with client and other internal engineering trades for project coordination.
• Attend technical review and meetings with client and vendors during project execution to ensure requirement are fulfilled, technical solutions are discussed and technical issues resolved.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of Marine Electrical and Automation systems
• Knowledge in Autocad, Naviswork, ETAP and CADCAM 3D software will be advantageous
Requirements:
- 3 years of related experience in Ship design related engineering industries such as Marine & Offshore
- Degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronic or any related engineering field
- Good Interpersonal Skills, Problem-Solving skills and is a team player.
- Good time management and able to meet tight deadlines.

- 5 days work week
- Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
