Job Responsibilities

An AutoCAD Drafter uses (CAD) software to create technical drawings to help design the Electrical drawings. Their duties include collaborating with Design team, generating digital drawings and schematics based on design specifications and preparing related technical documents.

• Using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, to prepare technical drawings
• Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
• Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
• Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
• Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates
• Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available

• Working with clients to ensure that their expectations are met. Involve in technical reviews, designing of the HPU , valve remote control and Tank gauging system
• Establish engineering standard, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.

• Liasing with customer and classification society for design , approval related matters. Follow the marine and offshore regulations/ standard to apply the project design.
• Any other assigned duties and responsibilities by immediate superior and/or higher management.

· Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Electrical Engineering

· 2 to 3 years relevant working experience in Marine/ Offshore/ Instrumental & Control / Hydraulic design & drafting

Job Description

• Meeting with clients and other involved professionals at an early stage to agree on the project brief;
• Developing project briefs and working on these as the project progresses;
• Preparing design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional drawing methods;
• Contributing to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures;
• Understanding how the design aspects of a construction project influence and relate to performance and functional issues, so that practical questions can be addressed at an early stage;
• Following up with the detailed design process and co-ordinating design information;
• Liaising with appropriate authorities (e.g. Planning enquiries and technical officers) to obtain statutory approval;
• Co-ordinating and liaising with the various consultants on the project team;
• Advising clients on procuring the best and most appropriate contracts for the work they are undertaking;
• Leading the preparation of tender documentation and construction drawings;
• Assisting in administering contracts and project certifications;
• Obtaining feedback on work in progress and finished results from clients;
• Making site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is running within the agreed timescale;
• Solving problems that might occur during building/construction stage;
• Carrying out defect inspections;
• Managing the work of junior staff/direct reports.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in the architectural industry in Singapore or Malaysia
• Able to work within a team and in a fast-paced environment
  Familiar with building regulations (Singapore or Malaysia)
• Strong Portfolio
• Good working attitude, proactive and conscientious.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Good knowledge of interior architectural details, working drawings and construction practices
• Proficient in AutoCad, SketchUp, Photoshop, MS Office suite, Revit
• Flair in design; able to sketch fast and produce a good design concept
• Good understanding of materials cost and application
• Work closely with the project manager, design coordinators, and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production
• Responsible for project deliverables, meeting overall project design schedules
• Result-oriented and passionate to deliver projects successfully
• Able to work independently with a high degree of integrity
• Value support and cultivate cooperation among colleagues
• Work closely with the team and Design Lead to develop, coordinate and implement the interior design of projects from concept design to documentation and construction

JOB COMPETENCY (QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE)

• A recognized Degree/ Diploma in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• 2-5 years of local working experience
