DORS at Design Orchard is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Intern to support our Merchandising Manager and Inventory teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the retail and merchandising industry, contributing to the seamless execution of product assortment, inventory management, and store planning processes.

Key Responsibilities
Merchandising Support
- Assist in product selection, assortment planning, and seasonal buys in collaboration with the Merchandising Manager.
- Monitor and track product performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the preparation of merchandising presentations and reports for internal reviews.
Inventory Management
- Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure accurate stock levels and timely replenishment across all channels.
- Assist in inventory allocation, transfers, and stock reconciliation processes.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and update records to maintain data accuracy.
Visual Merchandising
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandiser and Retail team to maintain appealing visual displays that align with brand guidelines.
- Support the setup and execution of promotions, product launches, and in-store campaigns.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze sales and inventory data to provide insights on product performance and customer preferences.
- Assist in compiling weekly and monthly sales reports for the merchandising team.
Supplier Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers to track delivery schedules and resolve any product discrepancies.
- Support the Merchandising Manager in maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Requirements
- Education: Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. Fresh graduates are welcome too.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in retail, merchandising, and fashion trends.
- Availability: Minimum commitment of 4-6 months for this full-time position.
