As a video editing intern, you will be assisting the team to prepare promos for TV broadcast, social clips for social posts and other digital contents. You will also have the opportunity to work with various operations functions. 

You will be responsible for the following areas:

• Learn to export video content for audio mix, lay back mixed audio in the mastering process and export for final master delivery.

You will be part of the Engineering team to perform machinery design, supervising and handling of fabrication with sub-fabricators and suppliers, machinery installation, test and commissioning.

THE ROLE:

1. Conduct all aspects of project engineering activities include attendance to technical meeting and discussion with client, and occasional overseas travel to support our regional market.

2. Comprehend and produce mechanical design and shop drawings.

3. Design automated machine includes material handling, material feeding system, material pick and place system, jigs and fixtures. This role also involves steel structure design, process piping design, static equipment like tanks and vessel design.

4. Candidate with prior experiences shall design and build customized solutions, perform equipment integration and participate in the role of project management.

5. Candidate shall be exposed to project cost management, plan work schedule, supervise and control contractors to carry out their works accurately and timely in accordance to the contract drawings, specifications and approved QA/ QC checklists.

THE PERSON:

A Quantity Surveyor supports the Commercial Manager in managing all commercial matters for a given project. He/she will work alongside the project delivery

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Construction Stage

• Assists in preparing the key commercial control documents such as the Procurement Schedule, Cashflow Forecast and Margin Improvement Strategy to ensure the project is well planned.
• Sending enquires to the market for the assigned packages,
• Make the team & client aware of the long lead items & get clients approval for ordering the materials by air freight.
• Analysing subcontractor and supplier tender returns.
• Flag any risks such as discrepancies in the tender documents to the lead estimator.
• Prepare/compare material quantity take offs and bills of quantities according to the specifications & drawings submitted by the client.
• Work with estimating team as required.
• Gain understanding of commercial strategy for the project, set by Commercial Director.

Post-Contract

• Procurement of assigned packages the project in line with the procurement schedule and budget, inclusive of purchase orders, LOIs, Subcontractors etc.
• Evaluating quotations & having meetings with sub-contractors to ensure that there are no scope gaps and the cost fit within the budget, finalising the best quotation with the Commercial Manager and prepare the order for approval.
• Monitoring project cash flow against the forecast, with view to ensuring the project is always cash positive.
• Own and administer works packages delegated by project manager to final account, inclusive of monthly payment, dealing with variations and all matters pertaining to administering their subcontract correctly.
• Assist in change management, inclusive of the valuation of variations, quoting Request for Proposal (RFP)’s, issuing the respective notices, up and downstream, all within the timelines of the main contract.
• Assist commercial lead in all required commercial monthly reporting both internally and to the client.
• Always look to improve margin, and suggest ways to do so to project lead and assist in techniques employed.
• Assist in administering the Main Contract, ensuring contract terms are understood and dealt with accordingly.

Job Purpose

Perform automation engineering work and lead design teams in both local and international projects with varying degrees of complexity and total installed cost and deliver the project scope to the agreed quality, cost and schedule.

Responsibilities and Authority

• Perform design tasks according to the agreed quality, scope, time and safety in our investment projects.
• across all project phases from idea creation, pre-study and feasibility study via basic engineering to detailed engineering and As Built phase. In addition, participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up phases.
• Develop, implement and apply NES defined design engineering work methods and tools systematically.
• Solve problems proactively together with site operations and other refinery disciplines / site SPAs.
• Manage own performance, and the performance of the work share partners, provide necessary inputs and guidance as a design specialist of own instrumentation engineering.
• Develop oneself in automation technical competence and leading design work and workshare partners, or towards becoming a design specialist of own engineering discipline. Develop oneself in functional safety and instrumentation engineering.
• Collaborate and network with other design disciplines, workshare partners, suppliers and customers.

Primary responsibilities for this role at investment project level are (but not limited to) the following

• Lead the design team for automation through all phases of the project when appointed as the project lead especially for complex and high TIC projects, or projects of strategic importance to the business.
• Perform automation engineering independently according to relevant local and international codes in an international environment and prepare or check or approve automation deliverables such as control
• philosophy, control and interlock description, cause and effect diagram, control diagram, logic diagram, sequence diagram, alarm management, automation vendor related deliverables, job definitions etc.
• Participate and contribute in reviews such as BoD review, P&ID reviews, HAZID / HAZOP sessions, constructability reviews, risk workshops, value engineering workshops
• Participate and contribute to project sessions such as schedule reviews, PEP reviews etc.

• Conduct site surveys as necessary to gather the relevant information for brownfield project scope. Plan and facilitate necessary studies and carry out investigations needed in a project

• Plan and manage the resource allocation for the projects for which you are the lead together with the resource managers

• Proven experience of at least 15 years on a similar job, with 5 years in a lead role, preferably also inside the fence of industrial clients

2. Overseeing the shop drawings production, which are predominantly en-tasked to the senior engineers.

3. Provide technical support in view to resolve site complications arising from shop drawing or production errors.
