· Perform cost down engineering by innovating product design and liaising with Asia suppliers based to increase product line profitability.

· Perform design process troubleshooting/optimization and tooling optimization to resolve any design and manufacturing issues or supplier issues.

· Work closely with industrial engineering, quality assurance, procurement and supply chain team to assess the design feasibility and carry out actual R&D implementation mechanical design work.

· Strong knowledge in machining parts, die-casting, metal stamping or precision engineering would be an added advantage.

The Successful Applicant

· Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics with working experience in product design/R&D environment

· Minimum of 3~5 years relevant working experience in complex machine/equipment design, covering failure analysis, cost down engineering with strong GD&T experience.

· Past experiences in casting and machining background would be a plus.

· Proficient in 3D CAD software, good knowledge of Solidworks / NX Unigraphics is highly desirable.
