Singapore Art Museum (SAM) is seeking to fill the role of Head, Partnerships & Patronage, responsible for leading the Partnerships & Patronage department. Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement an annual fundraising and partnership strategy aligned with SAM’s vision and goals.
• Identify potential new partners and establish relations with corporate organizations and benefactors to support SAM through corporate giving, in-kind sponsorship, individual giving and legacy schemes.
• Foster and maintain relationships with current donors to steward, retain and steer them to the next level of giving.
• Support and partner with Board Members on fundraising initiatives, cultivating external alliances to enhance philanthropic support.

• Manage the current portfolio of SAM’s donors, including donor servicing and preparation of update reports.
• Develop a calendar of hosting opportunities, generate and manage regular communication with actual or potential funders, partners and donors.
• Set up a membership programme to engage corporates, individuals, international visitors, expatriates and Singaporean visitors.
• Ensure that Policies and Best Practices regarding ethical gift acceptance are in place and reviewed regularly.
• Oversee and manage the team including providing guidance to team members on prospecting, pitching, developing strategy, stewardship and governance.
• Develop and execute the team’s annual workplan and budget plan.
• Serve as the secretariat for the Development Committee.
• Execute ad hoc duties to further the goals of the team, where appropriate.

Qualifications

• A degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field is required.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in fundraising, philanthropy, grant management, business development, corporate social responsibility, donor/stakeholder management, or related field.
• Good understanding of the museum industry, museum administration and programming needs, as well as knowledge of protocol matters.
• Ability to develop strategies, budgets, negotiate, work in a team, and to work under deadlines.

- User Interface (UI) Design:

o Develop high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications for development.

o Ensure design consistency across all digital products and platforms.

- Design Testing and Iteration:

o Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve design solutions.

o Collaborate with the development team to ensure design integrity during implementation.

o Analyze user feedback and metrics to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.

- Design Leadership:

o Lead and mentor a team of designers to ensure consistent design quality and vision.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and integration.

o Conduct & facilitate requirements, design, implementation reviews and critiques of other people's work to create achievable, measurable & impactful goals.

o Develop and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.

- At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design.

- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.

- Excellent design skills, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.

- Well-versed in UX design software such as Figma and FigJam, which helps to create intuitive and engaging designs.

- Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and design systems.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to Have:

- Experience in the education or healthcare industry

- Knowledge of first aid training or emergency medical services

- Certification in design or related field (e.g. CUXP, UXDC)

- Experience with design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or InVision

- Familiarity with front-end development frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue

- Experience with design systems and accessibility guidelines

- Knowledge of user testing and usability metrics tools like UserTesting, TryMyUI, or Google Analytics
