The Technical Designer is part of the design team from the beginning and assists in making sure the design intent from concept is carried out in the detailing stage. He/She will be supporting the designer in selection of materials and systems,further the design resolution of details, specification reviews and/or writing, local building code compliance and analysis of the same in the International Building Code as requested by the project/client/operator; ultimately responsibility is in the quality control review of project documents. The Technical Designer supports the preparation of detailed drawings and tender documents. The position has experience in design development, architectural CAD and Revit documentation and drafting, and detailing. The Technical Designer is highly organized and collaborative and contributes to project design and delivery, and client care.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop creative design concepts for commercial spaces, ensuring they reflect the client’s identity and business goals.
• Oversee the entire design process from concept to completion, including space planning, material selection, and project timelines.
• Meet with clients to understand their requirements, objectives, and budgets. Present them with design proposals, sketches, and material samples.
• Source and select high-quality materials, fixtures, and finishes that align with the design and commercial usability.
• Work closely with contractors, architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure the project is executed as per the design vision.
• Monitor projects to ensure they stay within the allocated budget and provide cost-effective solutions when necessary.
• Ensure that all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Prepare and present detailed design concepts, mood boards, and 3D renderings to clients for approval.

The Lead UI/UX Designer co-leads the Design team on projects that include all UI/UX components, including but not limited to pre-sales activities, and to manage and handle design proposals and effort estimation in pre-sales activities, and also manages external design partners/freelancers working on the projects.

The role of the Lead UI/UX Designer is to advocate and evangelize UX within the organization and beyond, raising awareness and appreciation of the value and impact of user-centered design. A Lead UI/UX Designer have to educate and influence our clients, managers, and other stakeholders on the benefits and best practices of UX design, and demonstrate how it can improve their products, services, and processes.

What will you do?

• Lead a team of UI/UX designers, providing direction, guidance, and feedback on design projects
• Define and implement UI/UX design standards, processes, and best practices across the organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product roadmaps, strategies, and design solutions
• Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and project milestones

JOB SUMMARY

To undertake the primary responsibility of shaping the visual identity of our hotel, crafting designs that reflect the Marriott brand through compelling visuals for both print and digital platforms, ensuring all creative outputs align with our brand standards and enhance guest engagement.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design & Branding:

• Conceptualise and create visually striking designs for marketing collaterals, including brochures, flyers, posters, menus, digital ads, and social media assets.
• Ensure consistency in branding and design elements across all print and online channels.
• Maintain and update the hotel’s brand guidelines.

Digital Content Creation:

• Design and edit content for email campaigns, website banners, and multimedia platforms.
• Collaborate on photography, videography, and other media projects, contributing to storyboarding and visual execution.

Event Support:

• Develop creative themes and visual assets for hotel events, conferences, and promotions.
• Create customised signage, displays, and digital visuals for guest-facing areas.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with different teams like F&B and purchasing to understand creative needs and deliver projects that meet objectives.
• Partner with external vendors and agencies for production and ensure high-quality output.

Innovation & Trend Awareness:

• Stay updated on industry trends, design tools, and technologies to ensure cutting-edge creativity.
• Propose fresh concepts that elevate the hotel’s marketing and guest engagement efforts.

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• College degree or Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong communication skills (timely, concise updates to strategy, etc.)
