The Role:

We are looking for an in-house jewellery designer. You will be working directly with the customers and the MD to create bespoke designs. This role is multi-faceted and you would be also operating as a sales executive when clients are in the boutique. When you are with clients, you are expected to provide them with product knowledge and effectively sell both the brand and product. You will be required to share brand history, product knowledge and the highest level of customer service with all potential customers. You should have a thirst for knowledge, great people skills and the willingness to learn. As a designer, you need to be able to discuss a range of design options and formulate creative original ideas. You would be required to sketch out ideas and designs, sometimes using computer-aided design (CAD), to help the client visualize the final design.

• Good command of written and spoken English. Bi-lingual candidates will have an advantage
• Possess good presentation, communications and interpersonal skills
• Well-groomed, matured, confident and self-disciplined
• Excellent team player
• Basic I.T. skills are necessary, knowledge of MS Excel and Word
• Advanced skills in PhotoShop, Illustrator
• Able to commit to retail hours including weekends and public holidays
• Organization and time-management skills and the ability to work with deadlines
• Drawing and computer design skills to produce designs
• Commercial awareness and practical knowledge when designing

Job Description:

• Be a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analyst and Stakeholders.
• Conduct UX/UI reviews and manage necessary changes with the development team.
• Present and justify your design solutions based on user research with a clear understanding on the overall design roadmap, as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. colour theory, information hierarchy, etc.)
• Educate, plan, support and conduct user research / workshops with Business Analyst to collect qualitative and quantitative feedback from users.
• Create, improve and use hi-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
• Create clean and structured design files for better organisation.
• Manage and improve design components within Design System.
• Continually keep yourself and your design team updated with the latest changes in your industry’s standards.
• Being able to assist in creating / improving communication collaterals occasionally.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Design
• At least 4 years of UX Design experience
• Good understanding of design philosophy and user experience research and design.
• A good communicator and efficient team player.
• Excellent time management skills
• Good proficiency in wireframing / prototyping tools like Sketch and Figma
• Good proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Singapore Citizens are highly preferred
