Job Description:

Job Description

• Working Hours: 5 days (7 am – 4 pm / 9 am – 6 pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and work in NIDO environment with infants from 6-12 weeks up to 16 months.
• Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in his/her care.
• Give bottles to infants as provided by parents.
• Feed infants with appropriate solid foods provided by parents.
• Change diapers as needed.
• Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them.
• Supervise infants on the floor as they play with appropriate toys.
• Put infants in cribs for nap time.
• Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children.
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play etc.) to teach children.
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.

• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colours, do crafts etc.).

· monitoring and assisting children in the classroom, playground

· assisting children requiring daily care, e.g. toileting and feeding

Your main job responsibility is to develop and plan early childhood programmes for the children in the centre:

Responsible for implementing and execution of classroom and outdoor activities and ensuring a safe, conducive learning environment for the children.

Complete lesson evaluations / reflection. Communicate with families on their child's progress and development. Maintain proper children's record and prepare child's portfolio for Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM).

Maintain record keeping for centre's operation purpose - audit, licensing, tracking, monitoring. Active participation and sharing of ideas, suggestions, learning, concerns and challenges during meetings.

Provide coverage duties for staff on leave and other adhoc duties. Plan and carry out events, excursions, workshops, collaborations with community etc.

Job Requirements:

Must have attained Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY). Registered with Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA). Have a valid certificate in first aid recognised by ECDA. Preferably have infant care experience in a pre-school setting. Demonstrate good communication skills. Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices possess classroom management skills and able to handle children's temperaments. Possess the necessary skills to plan, execute and evaluate appropriate developmental lessons.
