The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Lead Teacher in classroom and engagement of children
• Conduct small group activities when required e.g. routines such as CIrcle Time
• Assist Lead Teacher in carrying out therapeutic interventions as instructed
• Ensure that students are well supervised during contact time in the centre

Job Responsibilities:

• The role involves teaching a music curriculum to preschool students across all levels, from PG to K2 (2 – 6 years old).
• Teachers will deliver a well-rounded music literacy program that includes instruction in singing, percussion, keyboards, recorder, and violin (for the upper grades).
• You will be responsible for planning, supervising, and implementing the program for your class in alignment with the center's policies, guidelines, frameworks, and philosophy.
• It's important to address each child’s educational and developmental needs while maintaining accurate records of their progress through checklists, notes, photographs, and anecdotal records.
• Additional ad-hoc duties may be required based on operational needs.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Professional Certification in Music (ABRSM in Piano, Music Theory, Music)
• Demonstrate musical competency in at least 2 instruments (E.g. Piano, Violin, Ukelele, Guitar, etc)
• Solfege (do-re-mi syllables), Suzuki Violin, Keyboard knowledge will be a plus point.
• Creative and inspiring with loving energy
• Prior experience in classroom teaching.

We are seeking a highly driven individual, with or without experience, but what is important is to possess a passion for education, to apply for the position of Center Administrative Manager cum part time Teacher to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our enrichment center, and also taking on the responsibility of teaching a few classes.

As the Centre Admin, you will be responsible for the following:

• Handling of student registrations, payment information, make up classes arrangements and queries from parents

• Complete the Christian Philosophy of Education in-service program within the first three years of teaching at ICS.
• Attend and participate in devotions, teachers’ meetings, evening programs if involving his or her students or as requested by the administration, and other meetings as assigned.
• Carry out supervisory duty as assigned (before school, break, lunch, after school).
• Maintain a classroom in a clean and educationally stimulating environment.
• Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records to meet the demands for a comprehensive knowledge of each student’s progress.
• Keep students, parents, and the administration informed of students’ progress or deficiencies, and provide sufficient and timely notice to parents when students fail to meet learning standards.
• Submit all reports to the administration, guidance office, school office etc. as required by school regulations or as requested.
• Work with the administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.
• Complete professional programs as required by the administration and/or ICS Board.
• Maintain teaching credentials as required by sponsoring agencies (state/provincial education department, ACSI, etc.). Acquire teaching credentials as required by the laws of Singapore, NICS and/or ICS.
