Position Summary

The Vessel Managers are the ‘front line’ operators heading their ship management teams. Vessel Managers are fully supported in their role by Marine & Technical Services, HSEQ, Marine Assurance, Marine HR, and Financial Analysts.

The Vessel Managers will have full responsibility and accountability for the success of the operations and people on board their vessels. The measure of our success will be achieving all KPIs on a consistent basis, meeting the business unit expectations, and upholding the company brand.

Major Responsibilities

• Treat health, safety, and environment as top priority.

• Working with ship staff, Fleet Support Officers, Business Development, and Financial Analysts to ensure that all legislative requirements and yearly maintenance are captured in the budget process, such that all budgetary timelines are met for both internal stakeholders and external customers, where applicable attend annual OPEX Budget meetings with customers.
• Where appropriate and in accordance with individual customer requirements and at the direction of the Fleet Manager, represent the company at required annual performance meetings, customer interface meetings, JV partnership meetings and industry specific project forums.

Job scope

Assist with recording daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring data integrity.

Require to handle a full set of accounts, including data entry

Support in processing invoices, payments, and collections; manage reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Assist Accounts receivable and Accounts payable function

Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial records.

Prepare quarterly GST filing

Involve in quarterly stock count

Liaise with external auditors Preparation of a full set of accounts including audit schedules and assist in preparing financial statements, monthly closing processes, and providing data for audits.

Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

1. Provide daily Office Administration / Operation Support & Co-ordination to the relevant departments

2. Assist with filing, scanning and photocopying of documents

3. Assist with daily operation/account team duties.

4. Assist with issuing purchase orders and delivery orders

5. Follow up on the completeness of all delivery orders.

6. Handle incoming calls and any other adhoc duties as assigned

7. Follow up annual/medical leave form

8. Renewal / Application of Work Permits, purchase of Security Bonds, Worker insurances etc

9. Maintain & update workers' registry and ensure timely renewal of work permits

10. Maintain proper documentation and filing
