About us:
The Ramakrishna Mission Boys' Home is a residential Home for boys between the ages of 5 to 18 years. The Home is run by the Ramakrishna Mission within its premises.
The Residents go to local schools and return to the Home. The Home takes care of their needs and works towards reintegration with the family.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Assistant Housekeeper are to assist the Head of Home and the Premises Manager in managing the needs of the Home. It includes duties such as:
1. Assist in the preparation and serving of snacks during breaktime.
2. Ensure neat and tidy school uniform, socks and shoes are ready. This includes the appropriate attire for school (uniform or PE attire).
3. Assist in laundry and sorting of the children's clothings.
4. Ensure that bed linens are fresh and regularly changed.
5. Ensure that the upholstery is clean and neat.
6. Ensure sufficient stocks of housekeeping supplies.
7. Report safety and security hazards and malfunctioning of housekeeping equipment (such as washing machines) to the Premises Manager.
8. Be a team member in the ESR (Environment Sanitation Regime) by ensuring that the toilets are clean and stocked with toilet rolls and hand towels.
As we are a residential Home, candidates are expected to work on some weekends and public holidays.
