Copywriter & Community Manager
Maker Lab supports clients across technology, entertainment, financial services and the payments industry. We’re looking for dynamic individuals to join our team and support our amazing clients in the travel industry.Â
As a Copywriter & Community Manager within a creative social media team, your main focus is on undertaking social media copywriting and growing and managing communities across social channels while ensuring the client’s brand and tone of voice remain consistent. In addition to day-to-day community management and conversations, you’re expected to gather and present social media trends, help translate them into actionable insights and support with implementing local social media strategies based on those.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced creative environment while helping to constantly evolve the local market’s social media copy and community engagement strategies and support with improving efficiencies.

Role:
Social media copywriting
- Develop and deliver engaging, on-brand copy for social media and global community interactions, including drafting captions, assisting in supers, miscellaneous wordsmithing, etc., while adhering to SEO best practices and character limits.
- Manage quality control and tone of voice through excellent copywriting skills.
- Portray deep knowledge of social audiences, platforms, and their specific formats, and how to properly leverage them to create attention-worthy content.
- Bring alive the social media content and strategy developed by the client and the team.
Community Management
- Act as the lead for global community engagement and content across all social media channels, while proactively seeking out and implementing new and innovative ways to engage and grow our online community presence across various digital platforms.
- Portray deep knowledge of social audiences and platforms and how to leverage them to create attention-worthy content properly.
- Build a daily community engagement plan that sparks a social conversation between communities.
- Work with data and insights derived from the social pages and use the data to create reports to share with the broader team in making data-driven decisions.
- Spot trends and provide insights from conversations with audiences and consumers.
- Mine daily sentiment and conversations to proactively identify opportunities for new ideas and to provide feedback on active campaigns.
- Funnel insights and feedback to internal teams and stakeholders to foster data-driven decision-making.
- Lean into community management in a proactive, fun, and engaging way while being prepared to escalate any reputational issues as and when required.
You:
- 4+ years experience working in community management and content writing/creative copywriting capacity.Â
- Knowledge of local context and culture is a must.
- Attuned with diverse online communities across entertainment, internet and pop culture industries and always plugged into a variety of communities and groups, both global and local.
- Thorough understanding of social media platforms, trends and online communities.
- Experienced with sourcing and managing video, image and audio assets, and comfortable securing the required rights and permissions.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
