Machining and Fabrication work shop

Job Scope.

Planning, organizing, and supervision of manpower, resources, materials, and equipment required to execute work scopes. Providing technical guidance and recommendation in accordance with relevant industry standards and best engineering practices.

The Fabrication Workshop Supervisor is responsible for managing the operations team to ensure they are working efficiently and safely at all times. Working with the management team to implement the program of works and co-ordinate the day to day activities of the workshop.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the ship ops readiness status of >90% monthly
• Monitoring and follow up of ships' defects promptly
• Join assessment on site with relevant parties for troubleshooting.
• Scope, review and approve aspects of work including both in-house and Contractor prepared studies and engineering.
• Provide engineering inputs in technical reviews to ensure technical integrity, efficiency, and safety of facilities.
• Conduct inspections, functional tests on site or workshop with relevant parties.
• Ensure that all work is done in a manner consistent with Company’s guidelines and policies.

Requirements:

• NTC/Diploma, preferably in Mechanical or Marine engineering field
• Preferably with 2-5 years’ working experience in marine related industry
• Knowledge of ship repairs, steelworks, fabrication works and NDT will be advantageous
• Able to read drawings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in supervising workers and subcontractors in yard environment
• Proficient in MS Words, Excel, Powerpoint for reporting purpose

Responsibilities

· Manage day to day operations of the Human Resources and Administrative functions.

· Manage full spectrum of payroll processing and CPF/Levy contribution including annual performance appraisal process, bonus, increment and promotion etc

· Manage full spectrum of recruitment including processing of work passes

· Manage insurance matters including renewals and claims

· Manage training plan and records.

· Maintain contracts/agreements master file and SOPs

· Maintain vehicles records including road tax and insurance renewals

· Prepare monthly labour cost for management

· Prepare HR reports when required

· Review and update HR policies and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

· Support in regional matters if needed

· Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

· Diploma/Degree with specialization in Human Resource Management

· 3 to 5 years of relevant HR experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Singapore / Malaysia with optional to boarded SEA region.
• Will be based in Singapore and required to work closely with the project teams especially during pre-sales and tender time.

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, in Engineering discipline preferable process engineering, mechanical, or electrical.
• Working experiences in sales engineering for at least 10 years.
• Technical, sales or business development experience within the pharmaceutical industry for at least 5 years.
• Experience and technical knowledge with cleanroom and HVAC system design is a requirement.
• Experience in tender preparation and costings.
• Experience in tender development, GMP guidelines as well as the validation processes from IQ,OQ,PQ
• Excellent presentation and persuasion skills, with well-developed communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
• Able to work independently.
