• Prepare monthly accounting schedule.
• Prepare and review group of month-end closing report to managements.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
• Ensure timely completion of monthly accounts of companies directly under your responsibility and other group of companies handled by accounting staff.

General Ledger Management:

• Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Reviewing financial statements for accuracy and make adjustments when needed.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.

Compliance and Regulations:

• Stay updated on accounting regulations and ensure the company stays compliant..
• Ensure compliance with local government requirements and timely reporting to relevant regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with auditors and external consultant on compliance matters.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement and increase efficiency in accounting processes.
• Implement best practices to streamline accounting procedures.
• Participate in system upgrades or implementations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate superior.

Job Requirement

• Diploma or Accounting qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting job, ability to maintain full set of accounts will be an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Excel and common accounting software.

Job responsibilities:

• Coordination of all inbound/outbound shipment
• Provide customer support by giving them advice on their shipment, various country customary rules and regulations; provide after-sale support and following up with client till the whole transaction is done.
• Book the consignment (freight / transporters / forwarders) in accordance with costs and price strategy of the company
• Organize the booking and operations in accordance with the client’s service sold
• Send all necessary information and documentation to clients / agents / sea companies / forwarders etc…on time
• Liaise and maintain good relations with agents and shipping companies.
• For Sea Import / Air freight files, once operation complete (delivery document for Sea and Air import, Airway bill for Air export), must be transmitted immediately to the Branch Manager in order to prepare invoicing instructions to the Accountant Manager.
• For sea Export files, once the Bill of Lading has been received, the original sets of client documentation will be mailed to the destination agent and the same time apply for the export permit for the shipping lines.
• To prepare the pre-alert ticking the service instructions
• To transfer the Pre-Alert project to the Customer Service Manager for checking instructions stated before being approved by the Branch Manager.
• To send the approved Pre-Alert to the agent / Branch at destination
• To inform immediately the Branch Manager about any changes in regulation procedures for export or import and to estimate what impact it will have on the organisation and costs without any delay.
• Follow up the container’s status on a daily base.
• Provide feedback on moves to ensure smooth operations.
• Collect the agent’s general tracker.
