Job Duties and Responsibilities

• To handle incoming RFQs received from customers and to review each RFQ carefully to understand the customer's requirements, specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines.

• Participate in establishing short-term and long-range planning and budget development of the company to support strategic business goals
• Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives.

• Set department KPI and lead team to develop forecasts for future demand and place orders accurately based on vendor lead-time.
• Come up with solution for Excess and Obsolescence inventory.
• Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models with cross-functional stakeholders from Quality, Manufacturing, Assembly/Planning & Customer Support and Logistics departments.
• Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers or to switch supplier by conducting localization or to build up dual source strategy.
• Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
• Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization
• Manage and mentor procurement and purchasing staffs, as well as work on their professional growth & development

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage team by providing guidance and support, identifying and addressing roadblocks, and fostering a sense of shared accountability to achieve shared goals
• Strategically procure containers and optimize their lifecycle management to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations
• Handle container procurement and delivery management and container procurement negotiation
• Oversee container production schedule and handle container delivery coordination to achieve on-time delivery
• Handle lease portfolio optimization including lease expiration management, portfolio optimization, contract analysis, process improvement, data analysis, and record keeping
• Keep track of financial operational performance including budget management, performance monitoring and reporting, as well as compliance and risk management
• Manage improvement on business process and system development
• Manage ad-hoc tasks and assignments as delegated by the Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fields
• Liner shipping experience in managing container procurement or related field highly advantageous
• Proficient in Google Workspace tools (Sheets/Docs/Slides) and MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with multicultural teams and internal/external parties
• Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, manage time and deadlines, and multi-task effectively
• Detail-oriented, able to identify and analyze problems, develop solutions and make sound decisions
• Able to manage and motivate teams effectively
• Continuously open to learn and apply new technologies and methodologies to enhance business processes
• Experience in data tools such as Tableau and Looker preferred

Responsibilities:

Ensure team briefings are carried out before each service period
Implement and ensure that Food Safety and Hygiene standards are met at all times
Ensure that all food is prepared according to quality, taste and hygiene guidelines established by the Company
Train and develop the team to deliver the food to a high standard
Ensure readiness for service and that the pace is set for peak times
Ensure that all food is presented for service in a timely manner and in correct sequence
Deal with any customer returns of food in a timely manner
Check and sign for all deliveries
Ensure that outlet is stocked with adequate levels of inventory
Participate in monthly physical stock take of the Outlet, including but not limited to plates, bowls and crockery
Control wastage
