Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in ensuring the well-being and safety of the Elementary School Students
• Support teachers with the delivery of the curriculum and learning activities
• Support the teachers with the provision and organisation of learning resources
• Be a role model for Lasallian Values and School Vision, Mission, Values and the Virtues Programme

EAL Department Specific Tasks and Duties

• Provide language support and interventions for children, individually or in small groups, as directed by the Head of EAL / AP Student Success
• Regularly liaise with the Homeroom and EAL teachers regarding the support and interventions provided
• Work alongside the EAL teacher to monitor student progress and achievement through both summative and formative assessment

Specific Tasks and Duties

• Prepare learning materials for students by making, photocopying or organising resources
• Observe and monitor student behaviour in classrooms, during transitions and at recess reporting any matters of concern to the appropriate teacher
• Assist during special events and school wide celebrations
• Assist in creating displays and signage in the classroom and corridor areas
• Sort, audit and organise department resources in preparation for the next term

Curriculum and Pedagogy

• Provide specialist language support and interventions for students individually or in small groups as directed by the supervising teacher or HOD
• Liaise regularly with the supervising teacher or HOD regarding planning and teaching of identified groups or individual students
• Use 1:1 and small group support strategies, resources and programmes
• Deliver 1:1 and small group support tasks as directed by the Head of Dept and AP Student Success
• Assess and feedback suggested next steps for each student supported through 1:1 and small group tasks, to the Head of Dept and relevant grade level teachers via the Learning Diary

Communication

• Communicate with teaching and administrative staff, and students effectively, respectfully and in a timely manner
• Report to the AP Student Success any matters related to child safeguarding, Health and Safety, discipline or personal concerns

Collaboration and Relationship Management

• Work collaboratively and purposefully with assigned teachers and other Teaching Assistants
• Support teachers with the organisation and management of the students as a class, in groups or individually whilst promoting high standards of behaviour and discipline
• Collaborate and communicate regularly with the AP Student Success as part of a team that supports the academic, social and emotional development of each child

Self-Evaluation and Quality Assurance

• Participate in the school’s evaluation process as a reflective practitioner and use this as an opportunity for professional growth
• Seek opportunities for professional development through a range of opportunities such as professional reading, in-school or external workshops

General Areas of Responsibility

• Be an advocate of the school and its decisions during interactions with students, staff and the community.
• Lead in nurturing a Lasallian Catholic ethos by building upon the legacy and tradition of the school firmly anchored in Faith, Service and Community
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality within and beyond the workplace
• Maintain updated knowledge of Child Protection and pastoral care generally
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and students

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree
• 3 or more years of working with students in a school context

JOB PURPOSE

Assist the Operation Manager and Administrative and Operation Executive in managing school’s operations relating to school safety, security, cleanliness, logistics and vendor management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Operation Manager in handling:

Estate and Facilities Management

• Liaising with contractors on estate maintenance work, improvement work and cleanliness of the school
• Adherence to Greengov.sg, APSN Safety, Health and Environment Audit, etc requirements.
• Logistical needs for school operations and events.

Maintaining security and safety of the school premises and property

• Locking and unlocking of classrooms/special rooms
• Arming and disarming of school

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ levels or equivalent
• 1-3 years working experience preferrably in operations or logistics role.
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Words)
• Computer literacy
• Have exposure in area of emergency responses and security management
• Ability to multitask with good time management
• Organized, responsible and strong work ethic

- Degree in Computer Science/ Computer System Engineering/ Computer System & Networks/ IT informatics;

- Report to IT Manager or Technical Director;

- Conduct operation and maintenance on the existing IT web-based System, coordinate with project team and system owner for planning security testing, system bug fixes and possible system improvement or upgrading;

- IT asset / commercial software licenses tracking and setting of IT equipment for HQ and site offices;

- Work closely with third party vendor to ensure system stabilities and IT security, conduct regular preventive maintenance;

- Responsible to manage and maintain the project system including troubleshooting;

- Able to work independently as well as co-operate with project team to ensure the project is running smoothly;

- Familiar with programming language, Postgre SQL/MS SQL Database, commercial cloud system and GCC Cloud is an advantage
