Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in BS or BA degree in computer science, engineering, business, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of related IT sales experience in cloud technology and/or data center solutions
• Familiar with enterprise and public sector accounts including government and/or Institute of Higher Learning in the areas of HPC & AI, is an advantage
• Strong familiarity with cloud solutions (servers, storage or networking switch) preferred
• Experience in working wth local and/or global SI (System Integrators) is preferred
• Experience as the primary account manager for enterprise customers working with multiple business units and influencing governance and policy is a plus
• Proven experience in running complex B2B sales cycle processes for large companies is an advantage

Category Manager - Marine Spare Parts

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Category Manager for Marine Spare Parts to join our team. This strategic role will involve managing and developing the product category, optimizing product selection, and driving growth within the marine spare parts segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in category management, a deep understanding of the marine industry, and a proven ability to drive sales and profitability within their category.

Key Responsibilities:

• Category Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy for marine spare parts, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends. Create short- and long-term plans to drive category growth and profitability.
• Product Selection & Optimization: Oversee the assortment of marine spare parts, ensuring the range meets market demand, customer needs, and regulatory standards. Continuously evaluate product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize the product offering.
• Supplier & Vendor Management: Candidate needs to have connections to suppliers of relevant marine products. Then, to cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and terms. Ensure product quality, on-time delivery, and effective inventory management in collaboration with suppliers.
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activity. Use this information to adjust the product offering, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
• Sales & Profitability: Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and margin improvement. Collaborate with the sales team to develop promotional strategies and initiatives to increase market share in the marine spare parts segment.
• Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce overstocking or stockouts, and ensure product availability across multiple channels.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure effective execution of category strategies. Provide insights and support for product launches, promotions, and customer engagement efforts.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage the category budget, ensuring accurate forecasting, pricing, and cost management. Track financial performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.
• Customer Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Gather customer feedback and insights from the sales team to improve product offerings, identify gaps in the market, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Category Manager or Product Manager, preferably in marine spare parts, marine equipment, or a related industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the marine industry, including key spare parts for various types of vessels, maintenance processes, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data to drive strategic decisions.
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing strategy, and managing supplier relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively across different departments and with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proficient in using ERP systems and category management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of marine spare parts inventory management, logistics, and supply chain best practices.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in enrolling staff for training based on organisation/department needs and staff development plans. Follow through the whole registration process from registration to course confirmation to actual attendance to invoice processing and payment, and government grant application if applicable
• Coordinate with vendors to arrange catering services for training sessions.
• Communicate with vendors to arrange the printing of course handouts before the training.
• Provide on-site training support, including tasks such as taking attendance and setting up the training venue.
• Generate post-course evaluation reports following the completion of training sessions.
• Manage the preparation and distribution of training certification.
• Process invoice payment and staff claims.
• Maintain training supplies, tools and equipment.
• Maintain and update course catalogue and staff training records in the Learning Management System.
• Assist with other training administration and logistical matters as required or requested.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or ITE Higher Nitec qualification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Assist the Sous Chef in overseeing food preparation and kitchen operations.

• Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and refine existing recipes
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels
• Ensure that the kitchen is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations
• Take charge in the absence of the Sous Chef and lead the team effectively

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience
• Expertise in cooking Nonya cuisine not necessary but an added advantage
