We are seeking to recruit a proactive and motivated research assistant to join the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein at the National University of Singapore (NUS) launched on 5 September 2024, the first of its kind in Asia to advance research in alternative proteins. Led by experts from NUS and research institutes in Singapore, the Centre aims to drive global food security and accelerate regional innovation. The focus will be on microalgae research and biomass fermentation, to produce high-quality, affordable, and sustainable microbial proteins from microalgae and biomass fermentation that can be further developed into cultured meat and plant-based protein hybrids. Microbial proteins will be cultivated through fermentation and processed using emerging bio-physical techniques for effective biotransformation, to improve digestibility, flavour, and nutritional profile. As a research assistant, you will assist with conducting and monitoring microalgal cultivation bioprocesses via analytical techniques to achieve maximal product titres, yields, and rates. Requirement

•  Experience in our group budgeting operation for more than 2 years
•  Sufficient knowledge of our entire group business
•  USGAAP/IFRS accounting knowledge
•  Possess good knowledge of business controlling
•  Team management and leadership skill.
•  Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•  Possess good disposition.
•  Good project management skill.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication in both English & Japanese as this role will need to liaise frequently with headquarters in Japan

Job Description:

• Identify areas of growth for topline metrics, developing and executing initiatives to drive improvement and commercial impact for our engagement platforms
• Liaise closely with local market commercial teams and regional stakeholders and address any stakeholder concerns
• Facilitate the coordination of resources, tasks, and activities to ensure the timely achievement of project milestones.
• Define clear project objectives, monitor project progress, and inspire the adoption of planning and execution best practices.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to address the key issues and develop actionable solutions

Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree and above
• Minimum 4 years of experience working with content and engagement channels
• Advanced proficiency in Google Suites (e.g. Sheets, Docs, Slides)
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in managing regional portfolios and working with regional stakeholders to collaborate effectively with teams from diverse markets and backgrounds
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in complex project management
