Job Requirements

We’re looking for an Accountant who will be responsible for running the accounting, financial and tax activities at Carousell. She/He will be involved in the financial operations of the Company’s subsidiaries and provide financial information to other departments, enabling them to make critical decisions.

You will be involved in:

• Month-end book closing; handling full set of accounts, prepare bank reconciliation, prepare audit schedules and reconciliation of all balance sheets and variance analysis on P/L accounts

About the Role:

• Manage accurate and timely operational information associated with suppliers, recipients, and meal deliveries; ensuring teams have oversight and knowledge of distribution information, as needed. 
• Research, recruit, onboard and manage food vendor partners (restaurants, catering companies, food trucks, etc) ensuring compliance with financial protocols and alignment with WCK culinary guidelines.
• Review and approve supplier invoices in collaboration with the Finance department. 
• Manage meal distribution utilizing multiple transportation mechanisms, including but not limited to, helicopters, planes, boats, and vehicles. 

Budgeting and Logistics

• Work with the finance team and Response Director to share cost projections for distribution operations, focusing on meal production and logistical needs.
• Collaborate with the procurement and logistics team to source materials and supplies efficiently and ensure timely delivery to affected areas.
• Ensure the proper handling and safeguarding of organizational resources on responses.

Personnel Management and Training

• Recruit, train, and motivate diverse distribution teams on activation, ensuring a high-performance culture aligned with WCK’s North Star. 
• Provide leadership, mentorship, training and support to team members, promoting a culture of urgency, accountability, adaptability and continuous learning within the team.

• Assist to generate monthly disbursement summary report from system
• Assist to prepare report and invoice to send to customers

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year relevant working experience, including in admin, data entry roles
• Able to work 2 hours any time on Saturdays and Sundays
• Training provided. Can transit to work remotely after becoming proficient
• Proactive Fast learner with a tremendously positive attitude
• Dedicated, detail-oriented and efficient
• Adaptable and Able to work with minimal supervision
• Patient listener with excellent communication skills
• A flair in using new software will be added advantage
