Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. In 2021, Enterprise Singapore, the national standards body for Singapore, had appointed ERI@N as a Standards Development Organisation (SDO) to develop and promote standards under the Electrical and Electronic Standards Committee.
