The Network and Cybersecurity Assistant Manager will support DPH's infrastructure and cybersecurity framework. This role focuses on ensuring IT systems' availability and security while assisting in implementing network strategies and cybersecurity measures. The individual will also support compliance efforts, manage incidents, and work closely with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management:
Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
Manage and monitor network devices such as routers, switches, VPN concentrators, and firewalls.
Ensure optimal performance of network systems through regular monitoring and upgrades.
Support major WAN technologies such as MPLS, IPLC, and SD-WAN.
Cybersecurity Implementation and Monitoring:
Design, implement and monitor cybersecurity policies and controls to protect IT infrastructure.
Manage Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools like BeyondTrust and Web-Isolation solutions like Menlo.
Assist in threat detection and response using tools like Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
Oversee antivirus, endpoint protection, and other cybersecurity solutions.
Compliance and Audit Support:
Support compliance efforts with standards like MOH,and IMDA regulations.
Assist with audits, including Risk Assessments and Vendor Security Evaluations.
Ensure regular updates on security and network policies to meet compliance requirements.
Project Support and Implementation:
Assist in implementing network and cybersecurity projects, such as upgrading firewalls, deploying VPN solutions, or enhancing endpoint security.
Coordinate with external consultants for cybersecurity reviews and assessments.
Support 24x7 Security Operation Centre (SOC) outsourcing and monitoring services.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CEH, CISSP, or CISM are highly preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 to 3 years of working experience in network administration, cybersecurity, and Data Protection Trust Mark certification as a key stakeholder.
Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, CheckPoint) and network devices.
Familiarity with PAM, Web-Isolation, and SIEM tools.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in managing network devices such as routers, switches, and wireless solutions.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools and frameworks.
Experience with patch management tools like HCL BigFix and MDM solutions like Intune or Airwatch.
Familiarity with VPN solutions and WAN technologies.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
