The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant/ Research Associate (QC Analytical Chemist) in the Department of Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. CIRC is a dedicated molecular imaging research centre. It is equipped with on-site capability for the preparation of PET radiopharmaceuticals in a state-of-the-art GMP-certified facility. CIRC is positioned to support both academic and commercially led clinical research programs, with dedicated clinical imaging facilities area advanced modalities of PET-CT and PET-MRI. Purpose of the post

The QC Analytical Chemist will be responsible to, and work closely with Head of QC, to ensure the successful and safe release of radiopharmaceuticals manufactured at CIRC. The QC Analytical Chemist’s principal role will be to perform all quality control tests required by pharmacopeia. Alongside with maintaining the inventory of raw materials, maintenance of equipment and all the necessary documentation required for the QC laboratory in compliance to PIC/S GMP.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The QC Analytical Chemist will be able to:

• Perform analytical chemistry methods (HPLC, GC, radioTLC etc) for ensuring that the radiopharmaceutical is safe for clinical use.
• Perform environmental monitoring as required by PIC/S GMP in the cleanrooms (environmental monitoring, airborne particle monitoring)
• Manage routine microbial tests such as microbial plate incubation, sterility testing, bioburden testing, etc and liaising with third party contractors if required.
• Handle raw materials management, including maintaining inventory status, purchase and receiving of raw materials.
• Establish, develop and validate QC Test Methods for the radiopharmaceutical QC release testing.
• Assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIN), Recordsheets (REC), etc and fill in Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
• Ensure that the appropriate documentation is in place.
• Support in managing of QC equipment and metabolite laboratory equipment, including qualifications, operations maintenance, cleaning, calibration and re-qualification.
• Maintain cleanliness in the QC laboratory and the cyclotron facility.
• Handle chemical and biohazard waste disposal.

The Department of Philosophy at the National University of Singapore invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track or tenured appointment. The Assistant / Event Services Manager is in charge of various group and catering (social / corporate / wedding) businesses.

What will I be doing?

As the Assistant / Event Services Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Communicate effectively with the Sales & Catering team members responsible for booking various group and catering businesses, as well as all other department staff members who will be involved in carrying out the needs of a group/guests.
• Ensure that all bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per available function room.
• Response for successful execution of event and customer satisfaction to ensure customer remains loyal and books future business with Conrad Singapore Orchard
• Develop creative and attractive menu presentations for potential clients.
• Maintain an active trace / follow-up system on all personal sales calls and inquiries.
• Finalize all bookings, maximizing all revenue potential by upselling in all revenue producing areas while satisfying client needs.
• The ability to act as the liaison between the client and the hotel for all of the client’s needs (i.e. Hotel rooms, catering & events, audio visual, food tasting, transportation, off-site event recommendations).
• Have an excellent knowledge of hotel facilities, capacities and dimensions of the hotel’s function spaces.
• Review all function spaces with the Banquet Manager in regards to any requirements for a function.
• Maintain the policies set forth in the group sales / catering sales contract (i.e. deposits, cut off dates, attrition, rooming list, billing instructions).

• Coordinate with other departments on the needs of the group which will directly affect the department (i.e. amenities, arrival/departure time, deliveries).

Sales Administration

• To update menu and price information when changes happen.
• Maintain all catering files in accordance with established procedures and standards.

• Assist clients in the absence of a catering representative.
• Keep informed as to the daily hotel activities.
• Take ownership of the Delphi.fdc system.
• Find ways to make event services effort more effective and efficient through utilization of the Delphi.fdc system.
