We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join our team. The Assistant Financial Controller is the office manager of the Accounting Department and is responsible for the administration of the department. He/She is in full charge during the Financial Controller’s absence and must have a complete understanding of all hotel operations and finances. Assistant Financial Controller is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all financial reports emanating from the Accounting Department.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in preparing timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
· Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
· Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
· Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain budgets and forecasts.
· Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts, providing insights for decision-making.
· Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
· Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and present findings to management.
· Assist in developing and implementing internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
· Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures.
· Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
· Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and assist with tax filings.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations.
· Identify areas for process enhancement and automation, driving efficiency and accuracy.
· Implement best practices to streamline financial workflows.
· Participate in special projects, system implementations, and other initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or CPA designation is a plus.
· Proven experience 5 years in a financial role, preferably in a supervisory or assistant controller capacity.
· Strong knowledge of financial principles, reporting standards, and regulations.
· Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
